U.S. President Joe Biden's aide Eric Garcetti has been appointed as the new U.S. Envoy to India, the news was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday. He has taken up the position which was vacant since January 2021. Garcetti, was originally nominated by U.S. President Joe Biden in July 2021.
