Ukraine Drones Hit Russia's Ozon Logistics Hub, Disrupting E-Commerce Operations In Samara

Ukraine has reportedly targeted one of Russia's largest online retailers, with Ukrainian drones striking an Ozon logistics hub in Russia's Samara region and triggering a major fire. The attack reportedly forced more than 500 workers to evacuate. Ozon said its safety systems operated as intended, while some people were reportedly injured. Russian authorities also reported drone attacks in other parts of the country. Ozon is often compared with Amazon because of its dominant position in Russia's e-commerce market. Founded in 1998 as an online bookseller, Ozon later expanded into a major multi-category marketplace. By the end of 2025, Ozon reportedly had more than 65 million active buyers, nearly 5 million square metres of logistics infrastructure and more than 83,000 partner pickup points.
