Britain has quietly repatriated several Islamic state-linked women and children who were held in Syria, including some who were detained alongside Shamima begum. According to officials at al-Roj camp, which is run by the Kurdish-led Syrian democratic forces, six British women and nine children have been sent back to the UK in recent years without public announcements. A total of twenty-nine women and children with current or former British passports remain in the camp near the Iraqi border.
