Sri Lankan farmers prepare for harvest season

Many of Sri Lanka’s farmers, particularly those involved in paddy cultivation are eagerly preparing their land for the upcoming “maha” season to start sowing their harvest. But this harvest season unlike others is mired with much doubt and anxieties. This would be the first, in which farmers will be made to use organic fertilizer instead of the age-old and well-accustomed chemical fertilizer.
