A deadly suicide bombing and ambush in Bannu has left at least 14 police officers dead, marking one of the deadliest recent attacks on security forces in Pakistan. Police said a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a checkpoint before attackers opened fire on officers and backup teams. The terror outfit Ittehad-Ul-Mujahideen has reportedly claimed responsibility, raising fresh concerns over militancy and security challenges in the region.
