Nigeria Denies Paying “Huge” Ransom To Boko Haram For Abducted Pupils
Nigeria’s government has rejected reports alleging it paid a “huge” ransom to Boko Haram to secure the release of more than 200 pupils and staff abducted from a Catholic boarding school in November. Officials have pushed back strongly against the claims, amid continued concerns over militant violence and mass kidnappings in the country’s northeast.
