Lithuania has declared a state of emergency following a wave of weather balloons entering its airspace from Belarus, which authorities believe are being used to smuggle cigarettes and disrupt civil aviation. The government has labeled these incidents a "hybrid attack" orchestrated by Belarus, a close ally of Russia, and has closed Vilnius airport multiple times due to the threat.
