Julian Assange case hearing: Why a tiny pacific island hosted the hearing?

Julian Assange's long-running legal Odyssey has moved around the world from the United States of America to the United Kingdom, Sweden Australia and now after 14 years Assange has pleaded guilty in a US court in Saipan the question being why did the hearing to free Assange happen on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific.
