Jaishankar: Middle powers play a key role in a multipolar world

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has backed a multipolar world order, saying the rise of multiple centres of power does not necessarily mean global chaos. Speaking at the 62nd Munich Security Conference, Jaishankar described the shifting balance of power as a return to a “natural order”, pointing to the growing influence of Asian powers such as India and China.
