Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2023-24 and called it the "first Budget of Amrit Kaal", a reference to 75 years of India's independence. The term 'Amrit Kaal' was first used by PM Narendra Modi in 2021 during the 75th Independence Day celebrations.
