The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for Maharashtra’s Thane, Palghar, and Raigad districts as heavy rains continue to lash western India. The region is expected to experience intense rainfall, raising concerns over waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and possible flooding in low-lying areas. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. Emergency response teams have also been placed on standby to manage any weather-related incidents.
