Germany to impose stricter lockdown to battle rise in COVID-19 cases

Germany will close most stores from Wednesday (December 16) until at least January 10, cutting short the busy Christmas shopping season, as it tightens coronavirus restrictions and tries to rein in the spread of the disease.
