After the United States, the European Union has imposed fresh sanctions on Russia, directly targeting the country’s oil industry to curb Moscow’s war funding in Ukraine.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced similar measures against Russian oil firms. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed the EU move as a “major step forward,” calling it crucial in cutting off resources for Russia’s invasion.
