Dhaka rallies as Bangladesh opposition demands early elections
Thousands have taken to the streets of Dhaka as major opposition parties including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and Jatiya Party hold rallies demanding early elections and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation. Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus is being pushed as a possible head of an interim government. Bangladesh could see polls by late 2025 or mid-2026.
