COVID-19 Vaccine: Race to procure ultra-cold storage

With COVID-19 vaccines in their final stage and results being announced, there are eminent challenges of distributions that still remain. Among the many hurdles, the most crucial is the storage of the vaccines. Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine needs to be stored in minus 70 degrees for which specialised cold storage units are needed. Germany's Binder, which makes specialized cooling equipment for laboratories has ramped up production of refrigerated containers needed to transport the vaccines.
