China to host first in-person China-Central Asia Summit from 18 to 19 May

China is hosting the first China-Central Asia Summit pretty much coinciding with the summit in Japan. Chinese President Xi Jingping is hosting the event and has invited his counterparts from Central Asia. This is the first time China and five Central Asian countries( Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan) are holding a summit of this scale since the establishment of diplomatic ties 31 years ago.
