Trade tensions between the United States and China are weighing on business sentiment. According to the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, only 41 percent of American firms are optimistic about their five-year business outlook. This marks the lowest point since survey began in 1999. Geopolitical tensions remain the biggest hurdle, with 66 percent of firms citing US-China relations as their top challenge.
