Bangladesh will hold a referendum on major constitutional reforms, coinciding with the February 2026 parliamentary elections. The referendum, based on the July National Charter, will ask voters to approve key proposals such as term limits for the prime minister, enhanced presidential powers, greater representation of women, expanded fundamental rights, and full judicial independence.
