After 30 years, Microsoft is finally removing WordPad from Windows

Microsoft has declared that WordPad, a mainstay Windows program for more than 30 years, will no longer be included in next versions of Windows 11. First released in Windows 95, the text editing tool will not be installed automatically in Windows 11 and will eventually be phased away entirely.
