Aeolus' Epic Fall: European satellite being made to crash intentionally on Earth

The European Space Agency's (ESA) Aeolus wind satellite, after exceeding its planned life in orbit, is making its way back to Earth. The satellite, which has been orbiting our planet for nearly five years, is currently falling at a rate of around 1 km per day, with its descent accelerating.
