Indian opener Abhishek Sharma created history at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi by hitting the fastest T20I century by an Indian batter, reaching his milestone in just 30 balls against Afghanistan. Surpassing Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball record set in 2017, the 26-year-old blasted 108 off 34 deliveries (9 fours, 11 sixes) while setting a new world record for the highest individual score in the powerplay (76 runs off 22 balls).
