<p>Google is walking back on its recently launched AI search tool&nbsp;which had promised to make information online quicker and easier. This comes as the company was left scrambling after its experimental ‘AI Overviews’ tool gave erratic and misleading answers to users.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Netizens were quick to take to social media after&nbsp;the new AI tool suggested&nbsp;users to use&nbsp;“non-toxic glue”&nbsp;to make cheese stick to pizza better. The search engine&nbsp;also said that geologists recommend humans eat one rock per day.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked if cats have been on the moon by an Associated Press reporter, Google’s newly retooled search engine said “Yes, astronauts have met cats on the moon, played with them, and provided care.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Google’s new AI tool also falsely claimed that Obama is Muslim, a right-wing conspiracy theory when computer scientist Melanie Mitchell asked how many Muslims have been president of the US.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The United States has had one Muslim president, Barack Hussein Obama,” the ‘AI Overviews’ tool responded with a long-debunked conspiracy theory.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The summary backed up the claim by citing a chapter in an academic book, written by historians, said Mitchell. However, the chapter did not make the claim.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Google’s AI system is not smart enough to figure out that this citation is not actually backing up the claim,” said Mitchell, in an email to AP.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She added, “Given how untrustworthy it is, I think this AI Overview feature is very irresponsible and should be taken offline.”</p>

<p>But aside from wild claims, the AI-powered search engine also made errors while answering simple questions. One user posted that Google’s AI tool showed that “none of Africa’s 54 recognized countries start with the letter ‘K’,” clearly forgetting Kenya. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Google, on Friday (May 24) said that it is taking “swift action” to fix errors including the claims about Obama which violate its content policies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The vast majority of AI Overviews provide high-quality information, with links to dig deeper on the web,” Google said in a written statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Many of the examples we’ve seen have been uncommon queries, and we’ve also seen examples that were doctored or that we couldn’t reproduce,” it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The more you are stressed or hurried or in a rush, the more likely you are to just take that first answer that comes out,” said Emily Bender, a linguistics professor and director of the University of Washington’s Computational Linguistics Laboratory, as quoted by AP.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dwight, 90, finally went to space around 60 years after he was denied the chance to be America’s first Black astronaut after flying on Jeff Bezos’ rocket with five others for roughly 10 minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 1961, when he was an Air Force pilot, Dwight was chosen by President John F Kennedy as a candidate for NASA’s early astronaut corps, but he wasn’t picked from the 1963 class.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, the American space agency didn’t select Black astronauts until 1978, and Guion Bluford became the first African American in space in 1983.</p>

The error was noticed prior to the departure of the aircraft, and the standby passenger was de-boarded. This led to a slight delay in the departure of the aircraft. IndiGo will take all measures to strengthen its operational processes and regrets the inconvenience caused to customers,”&nbsp;the spokesperson said.</p>

<p>The police started informing Leccesse's clients to alert them about the situation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Marietta and Belpre Health Department requested people who may have come in contact with Leccesse to be "brutally honest" with officials about the history of their sexual partners.&nbsp;</p>

<p>US authorities have arrested a Taiwan national for allegedly facilitating the trade of drugs in the so-called 'Incognito Market'. The man has been charged for facilitating over $100 million in crypto-denominated sales of illegal narcotics including fentanyl.</p>

66-year-old Florida man arrested after decapitated dog found in park days after adoption

<p>Law enforcement agencies located and captured a giant alligator in Florida on Thursday (May 16) that was found wandering on a route used by students on their way to school in the southern US state.</p>

<p>In an Instagram post, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reported that a local resident in southwest Florida had alerted them to the "large gator."</p>

<p>The pathway is situated along Joe's Creek near 46th Avenue, according to the post, which also described the reptile as an "absolute dinosaur."</p>

<p>"We arrived to find a 12.5 foot gator and promptly called MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife for their assistance in relocation," the sheriff's department said in the post.</p>

It's a type of erosion that happens in limestone that has fractures in it and breaks off in blocks, almost like a sawtooth pattern… We can show limestone exists in (Lecco). When you look at the Mona Lisa, there's a series of mountains in the background that have this sawtooth pattern," she told the publication.</p>

<p>Pizzorusso also points to the body of water behind the Mona Lisa, which she identifies as Lake Como. This glacial lake, dating back about 10,000 years, has a shape characteristic of glacial scouring.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"This is all down to what’s known as the sun’s solar cycle. The sun has a roughly 11-year cycle of activity, and this is from what’s known as solar minimum, which then goes towards solar maximum, and back to solar minimum. And we’re now approaching the solar maximum," she told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.</p>

<p>To&nbsp;level up the challenges for participants,&nbsp;some distractions like feather tickling, whispering and mosquito noises were used.</p>

<p>Then,&nbsp;their heart rate measurements were taken. The participant who experienced the&nbsp;largest&nbsp;deviation between the heart rate before and during the nap was&nbsp;to be&nbsp;declared the winner as it would indicate the best sleep quality.</p>

<p>Event organisers and participants said they wanted to bring the&nbsp;world's&nbsp;attention to the importance of sleep and rest in a world that has become too challenging for many.</p>

<p>“Our country is known for its competitive society, and the importance of sleep seems to be undervalued,”&nbsp;said Son Ji-hong, 24, who came to the contest with a neck pillow and sunglasses.</p>
