<p>“Russian invasion will cause problems for global food security. In total, Ukraine is the global food security contributor which feeds around 400 million people around the world. Ukrainian grain, corn and sunflower oil are traditional supplies to Europe, North Africa and Middle East as well as Asia. Looting of Ukrainian grain by Russian soldiers, blockade of shipments from Ukrainian routes as well as attacking the global shipping routes endangers global food security,” Senik explained.</p>

<p>The session was moderated by Palki Sharma Upadhyay, Managing Editor, WION.</p>

<p>Speaking on the Russian-Ukraine war, which is believed to have been triggered by the so-called NATO expansion wherein Kyiv tried to join the US-led military alliance, Mihkelson said, “I don't think there's something called NATO expansionism. NATO can't expand or force people to join the defence alliance.”</p>

<p>Mikhelson agreed that sanctions “are the last resort”, adding that “war machines getting money and resources must be punished to end conflicts as soon as possible”.</p>

<p>This view was concurred by Lute who said, “If you want to prevent the spread and continuation of violence, you need to create military and financial fire breaks, and sanctions are designed to do that.”</p>

<p>Wading into the issue, Japan’s former minister of defence Yasuhide Nakayama said, “Not just Europe, even Japan faces threat from Russian activities.”</p>

<p>Drawing parallels from the ongoing Russian-Ukraine conflict, when asked about the China-Taiwan tensions, Nakayama said, “Xi Jinping is smart. I don't think he is going to invade Taiwan. But there is some possibility. I think he will be weighing his options. One is the peaceful way and the other option is force&nbsp;by the military action. And the kind of options he chooses will depend on who the superpower is—which is the USA.”</p>

<p>Speaking on the Afghanistan issue, where the Taliban swiftly took over the reins after the US withdrawal, former deputy minister of interior, Afghanistan, Shahmahmood Miakhel spoke on the reasons why Washington failed to secure peace in the crisis-hit region.</p>

<p>The young boy received his certification from the Anand Shekhar Yoga School on 27 July 2021, after completing their 200 hour&nbsp;yoga teacher's training course.<br />

His journey began when he found out his parents were attending a yoga teacher’s training course in Rishikesh, India, and started practising yoga when he was just four years old.<br />

"I decided to join them and surprisingly found out I enjoy teaching as well," Reyansh said.</p>

<p>Once the&nbsp;Russian&nbsp;anti-doping agency (RUSADA) received the result, it provisionally suspended the teenager, a decision which would have ruled her out of the rest of the Olympics.</p>

<p>Valieva successfully challenged that decision and the ban was lifted on February 9. She was seen training in the Chinese capital on Friday.</p>

<p>Now the International Olympic Committee says it will challenge the decision to lift her suspension.</p>

<p>"Under the World Anti-Doping Code, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the International Skating Union (ISU), RUSADA and the IOC have a right to appeal the decision to lift the provisional suspension before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The IOC will exercise its right to appeal," the ITA said in a statement.</p>

<p>The confirmation that she failed a doping test explains why the medals ceremony for the figure skating team event has not taken place.</p>
