<p>In an interview to BBC, he said, “As I said it, I was like “should I say it?” But I think it’s come out so many places that yeah,” he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked if Alia Bhatt, his usual pair in films will be cast in this too, Varun said, “I can’t do every film with Alia Bhatt,” and added, “That you will know soon, I don’t want to say it now but Alia and I are not working. <p>The movie not only became one of the biggest hits of 2010 but was also appreciated by both the critics and the audience.In the film, Shah Rukh portrayed the role of a Muslim man named Rizwan who suffers from Asperger`s syndrome.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video, Varun can be seen sporting a white t-shirt, brown trousers, and a military green cap as he introduces Bhushan Kumar, Sonam Bajwa and Remo D`Souza to fans.</p>

<p>Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have now successfully wrapped the shoot of their upcoming film ‘Kalank’ as they shared a photo of them from the set.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Alia wrote an emotional post as she called it a “crazy” schedule and wrote: “Our 4th film completed together and he still manages to surprise me with his hard work and crazy energy everyday.. Also manages to make me laugh like a crazy person by just being himself.. I can’t can’t can’t wait for you guys to see the stuff he’s done with his character in the film!”</p>

They both wanted to launch a fresh pair on screen and hence decided to sign Janhvi Kapoor for the role. Janhvi, as many would recall, made her debut earlier this year in Khaitan's directorial film 'Dhadkan' opposite Ishaan Khatter.&nbsp;<br />

When DNA contacted Khaitan aboiut his casting, the filmmaker said, "I’m still writing the script and will be sure about the casting once it’s completed. But Varun is definitely on.”&nbsp;<br />

A source close to the project though has mentioned that Janhvi would be playing the role of a spy and will undergo tyraining as her role will entail her performing action stunts. &nbsp;“She will undergo rigorous training and perform some heavy-duty stunts," the source said. When asked if he fears that one day his popularity will govern the choices he makes, Varun told PTI, "The fear is definitely there. When I did 'Badlapur' so many people said when am I doing something like this next. I told them that I need to find people who are willing to make a film like that.<br />

"Then I found Shoojit Sircar who would lose everything for the sake of art. It cannot happen everytime... There are these few things which will come in your career which will be absolutely your organic voice. A true artiste will always recognise that." Varun said there are just few films where an artiste's voice remains undiluted.<br />

"When you go mainstream with something, you start thinking 'let's do this, people will like it.' Your own voice starts getting diluted. There are few movies where your voice doesn't get diluted. Like an 'October', 'Badlapur' or a 'Sui Dhaaga'."<br />

There is very little that is extraordinary in Mauji and Mamta's life yet, with their talent and conviction, they set out on a journey of self discovery which not only helps to revive an old craft that the family has possessed for years but forgotten with passing years but also enable people around them to become self-reliant. It is a known story. Sharat Katariya- whose last film 'Dum Lagake Haisha' also centred around a lower-middle-class family struggling to make ends meet, keeps the story of 'Sui Dhaaga'simple. It is a predictable one and you know how the story of goodness would end but it is the little nuances couples with fantastic casting by SHanoo Sharma, that make 'Sui Dhaga' a winner. The mundane things in life, waking up early to fill up water for the household, the women labouring in the kitchen as the men sip multiple cups of tea, the low-watt lights in the rooms- the ambience of a poor family trying to make ends meet is well depicted in the film. The lead actors- Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma- are in top form. Sharma adapts the mannerisms of a submissive wife to the hilt. She keeps her head and voice low but knows her mind and is confident of her husband's talent- unlike him. Mamta is the driving force in Mauji's life even though the two barely have any relationship per se as husband and wife. It requires a lot of effort to adapt to an environment and behave as you belong to that strata of society when you yourself have all the luxuries in the world. But Anushka manages to become Mamta with much ease. The way she walks talks and sits- everything is typical of a woman from the lower rung of the society. Tad underconfident and tad nervous. Dhawan as Mauji is endearing. There are moments in the film, where Dhawan's commercial masala hero-giri tends to shine out but overall the actor delivers a solid performance as the naive Mauji who is able to find happiness in the little things in life. Mauji doesn't think much but is ably supported and encouraged by his wife. Veteran actor Raghubir Yadav and Yamini Dass as Dhawan's parents are convincing in their act. Yadav has played this disgruntled patriarch of a lower-income family before and he aces it in this film as well. But it is Yamini Dass who is a sheer delight to watch as the typical mother who can never relax even when she is having a stroke! It is her first film and the actress is pitch perfect. Her son, actor Namit Das is also part of the film who plays the all-knowing relative who eventually turns against them. Anil Mehta's camera works help in establishing the story well. In the initial scenes, Mamta is always seen within a frame, on the other side of the window, depicting well the confinements that her character has. Varun Dhawan enacts Daisy Shah's line from 'Race 3'; Twitter says 'none of your business'

Hemal Trivedi has claimed that the film is plagiarised from 2017 Marathi film titled <em>Aarti - The Unknown Love Story</em>, directed by Sarika Mene.<br />

Hemal Trivedi took to Facebook to report the incident and stated that Sircar never acquired rights of the Marathi film neither did they contact Mene. "The filmmakers of <em>October</em> never acquired any rights to the Marathi film and they never contacted Sarika."<br />
<br />
Sarika Mene told the tabloid, "I want the audience to watch both films and be impartial in their opinion. When I watched<em> October</em>, (I realised that) the emotions and characters portrayed are similar. Only a few things don't match."<br />

"How can a writer have imagined the exact events that had occurred in my brother's private life? I want to know where he (Sircar)&nbsp;got his film's idea from - sometimes he says it's inspired from his life, sometimes he says a newspaper article (was the starting point), "Mene was quoted as saying to a newspaper. &nbsp;<br />

Interestingly, the Marathi film is based on Mene's brother Sunny Pawar's life and his girlfriend Aarti Makwana, who was paralysed in a car accident. It traces Sunny's journey who stands by her side till her last breath.</p>

This multi-starrer has a story that will cross all borders and will be historic in the true sense of the word. I am genuinely happy to be back with the team, as this film is special to all of us.”&nbsp;</p>

We announced yesterday that Karan Johar revealed the star cast of Abhishek Varman’s next film titled Kalank which incidentally is Karan’s late father, Yash Johar’s dream project based in the 1940s. Today, Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar along with Varun Dhawan’s father David Dhawan kickstarted the film’s shoot with a mini get-together of-sorts. Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur were seen present with the makers.
