The distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks hit the airport websites of several major US cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and St Louis.

Such a cyberattack involves flooding a website with traffic and knocking it offline.

The airport websites were targeted after the pro-Russian hacking group known as "KillNet" published a list of sites and encouraged its followers to attack them.

The DDOS attacks only affected the public-facing websites of the airports, which supply flight and services information and do not have any impact on operations.

Most of the airport websites targeted appeared to be functioning normally after being temporarily knocked offline.

Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport said its website is "up and running after an incident early this morning that made it inaccessible to the public."

On Monday, Senate Foreign Relations Chair Robert Menendez urged to freeze all US cooperation including weapons sales and security with Saudi Arabia in response to their continued support for Russia. According to a National Security Council spokesperson, John Kirby, President Joe Biden will work with Congress to adjust its policies with Saudi Arabia amid the outrage over the OPEC+ decision in which Saudi Arabia plays a leading role. Kirby spoke in an interview with CNN, about growing calls from United States Congress, to cut off weapons sales and security cooperation to Riyadh.&nbsp;

He indicated that Biden was willing to discuss these plans and proposals with lawmakers, “This is a relationship that we need to continue to re-evaluate, that we need to be willing to revisit. And certainly, in light of the OPEC+ decision, I think that’s where he is,” he said during the interview, indicated the media reports.&nbsp;

Since Russia is both a major oil producer and also a part of OPEC+.&nbsp;

He added, “There simply is no room to play both sides of this conflict…either you support the rest of the free world in trying to stop a war criminal from violently wiping off an entire country off of the map, or you support him,” Menendez also warned that choosing the latter will be a “terrible decision driven by economic self-interest.” &nbsp;&nbsp;

“I will not green-light any cooperation with Riyadh until the Kingdom reassesses its position with respect to the war in Ukraine. Previously Saudi Arabia has purchased billions of dollars worth of weapons from Washington and has promised to buy more. President Biden ‘re-evaluating’ US-Saudi ties for siding with Russia on OPEC oil cut

The firefighters got a call from the Happy Smiles Learning Center in Allentown on Tuesday about an unconscious child. When they arrived, their monitors alerted them of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere, department spokesperson John Christopher said.

When several people had symptoms, the response from the emergency services became much more substantial, he noted.

Twenty-five kids and eight staffers were immediately evacuated after the paramedics declared the scene to be a mass casualty incident, he said.

According to local media reports, the gas leak was classified as a level 1 mass casualty incident, which means that area emergency services and hospitals could become overwhelmed by the large numbers of affected people.

According to WPVI, 27 people were transported to four hospitals in the Lehigh Valley. All of them are reported to be in stable condition. However, it wasn't immediately clear how many of those patients were children.

Several other fire departments and first responders are providing mutual aid at the scene, Christopher said, adding that some kids were taken to the hospital by their parents.

Christophe said that other departments, including firefighters and emergency responders, are being pressed in to help strengthen the local response.

Officials said there isn’t a carbon monoxide detector in the building, even though a legislation was passed last month saying that all childcare facilities in the state need to have a detector.

They had a deadline of 30 days, which has not yet passed.

But The Happy Smiles director said detector installation plans were already in place, WFMZ reported.

According to a law inforcement release Paxton's car was found "upside down and partially submerged in a creek in an area where the roadway had washed out."

Paxton's GPS reportedly led him on to the half-finished bridge. The tragedy followed afterwards.&nbsp;

"It was a dark and rainy night and he was following his GPS which led him down a concrete road to a bridge that dropped off into a river," Paxson's mother-in-law, Linda McPhee Koenig, said in a Facebook post. "The bridge had been destroyed [nine] years ago and never repaired. It lacked any barriers or warning signs to prevent the death of a 47 year old [sic] father of two daughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. It was a totally preventable accident. We are grieving his death."

News reports about Paxton's death say that barriers before the bridge which usually alert the motorists of incomplete construction were also not present.

GPS has not been found to be without problems. Many users across the globe have reported unclear guidance especially when a decision about taking a bridge is concerned.
