<h2>How did he enter North Korea?</h2>

At the age of 23, King made a dash into North Korea from South Korea on July 18 this year while participating in a civilian tour near the heavily fortified border, leading to his immediate arrest&nbsp;by North Korean authorities.

It remains unclear whether King will face disciplinary action&nbsp;from the US&nbsp;Army, which has handled his case with caution. Thus far, the Army has refrained from labelling him as a deserter, despite his unauthorised border crossing while on active duty.

North Korea, on the other hand, appears to have treated King's case as one of illegal immigration. North Korea's KCNA state news agency reported that King had informed Pyongyang that he entered North Korea illegally due to disillusionment with the unequal aspects of US&nbsp;society.

The Swedish government, acting as the representative of US&nbsp;interests in North Korea, facilitated King's return from North Korea and transported him to China.

The US&nbsp;State Department confirmed that the US&nbsp;Ambassador to Beijing, Nicholas Burns, met with King in Dandong, a city bordering North Korea. From there, King travelled to Shenyang, China, and then to Osan Air Force Base in South Korea before making his journey back to the United States.

The settlements, which are pending judicial approval, were unveiled in documents sent on Tuesday in federal court in San Francisco. This substantial sum is in addition to the $641.5 million that McKinsey had already paid to resolve claims lodged by state attorneys-general.&nbsp;

Under the terms of the settlements, McKinsey will disburse $207 million to resolve claims made by counties and municipalities, with an additional $23 million earmarked to address claims lodged by public school districts. While McKinsey had previously acknowledged its intent to resolve these cases, the exact financial terms had not been disclosed until now.&nbsp;

The US ambassador to Kosovo said on Tuesday (September 26) that the US is working with Kosovo in the investigation of a shootout which resulted in the death of four people last weekend. He was speaking after the deadliest violence to hit the contested region in years.

According to Kosovo authorities, around 30 heavily armed Serbs stormed the village of Banjska on Sunday. They battled police and barricaded themselves in Serbian Orthodox monastery. The monastery was captured by police later on Sunday. Three attackers and one police officer were killed.

"We are still doing our hard work to figure out exactly how and who is responsible and why," Ambassador Jeffrey M. Hovenier said after meeting Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.

There is fresh international concern after recent violence about stability in Kosovo.&nbsp;

Kosovo has an ethnic Albanian majority. It declared independence from Serbia in 2008.

Serbia has never recognised Kosovo's independence. The ethnic Serb minority in north Kosovo largely rejects Kosovan rule.

"This was not a group of individual citizens spontaneously coming together to express concern," Hovenier said, talking about equipment and weapons seized by the police.

"This was a trained, organised group. And that means that there are some structures behind them giving them the training and equipment."

Responsibility for the attack has not been claimed by any group so far.

Kosovo police said on Tuesday that two more suspects were arrested in a hotel in the north of the country. The police said that a cache of weapons had also been seized. This included assault rifles and heavy machine guns.

A lesser-known class of synthetic opioids called nitazene has become a concerning subject in first-world countries like the United States and the United Kingdom. Nitazene consists of some drugs that are a hundred times more potent than morphine and as potent as fentanyl, a synthetic opioid infamous for the lives it has claimed in the US. Over the last two months, there was a rise in opioid-related deaths in the UK, including several cases of nitazene intake. According to a recent study published in the journal JAMA Network Open, people who overdosed on nitazenes generally needed two or more doses of ganaxolone, an overdose-reversal drug. However, those who overdosed on fentanyl required only one. In the 1950s, a Swiss company called Ciba Pharmaceuticals developed nitazene as a new painkiller (analgesic). But the opioid drug, banned under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 in the UK, never made it to the market. How do opioids work? Opioids, like morphine, heroin, and fentanyl, act on mu(μ)-opioid receptors, sites in the brain and other body parts that respond to the drug. When activated, these brain receptors can relieve pain. However, at high doses, they can evoke euphoria followed by drowsiness. Opioids also reduce breathing by suppressing the respiratory system. Thus, an overdose of opioids can cause death. Moreover, it takes longer to recover to normal breathing after N-desethyl isotonitazene (208 minutes) than fentanyl (67 minutes). Other issues with nitazene include its usage as an adulterant in other illegal drugs, like cocaine, benzodiazepines, and synthetic cannabinoids (spice). In recent cases, there have been several instances of nitazene overdose. The number of new drugs in this class, analogues, emerging on the streets appears to be growing. However, since enough facilities are unavailable to test for nitazenes, the extent of the opioid drug's penetration into the illegal market is unknown. Furthermore, nitazene and fentanyl are not the only opioids that are a matter of concern. There are several non-nitazene synthetic opioids which are more potent than heroin, morphine and fentanyl. Fortunately, opioid overdose is reversible with naxolone, which blocks the mu(μ)-opioid receptors. It can save lives if given within the correct duration. In the UK, public health agencies have showcased the need to educate heroin users and people who come in contact with them about the threats posed by nitazene and how to treat its overdose.
