Terrorism should be finished from Jammu and Kashmir and you need to move forward with this commitment. I have full faith that you will achieve victory."

However, he asked the Army that they should not "make any mistake" which can hurt any Indian. Singh was in the border district of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, to review the security situation days after four soldiers were killed in an ambush on two Army vehicles. This happened in the aftermath of the terror attack in which the Army had detained several civilians in Poonch&nbsp;for questioning, among which three were found dead.&nbsp;

A Brigade Commander was asked to join the investigation of the Army into the deaths. The Army has said that it has zero tolerance for violence committed against innocent civilians.

"You are the country's protectors. But I want to request you that besides ensuring the country's security, you also have the responsibility to win the hearts of the people. There should be no mistake that hurts an Indian," Singh said.

The defence minister added that the forces need to share a close bond with the people. "We have to win battles, eliminate terrorists, but a bigger objective is to win the hearts of the people. We will win wars, but we need to win hearts too. And I know you try your best to do this," he added.

Assuring the troops, he said that every soldier is considered as a family member by every Indian.

"Every Indian feels this way. It is not tolerable to us if anyone casts an evil eye on you. Security and intelligence agencies play a crucial role in stopping such attacks. Whatever support is needed to step up surveillance will be provided by the government. The doors to our treasury are fully open," he stated.

According to Dawn newspaper, the attack happened near Chilas in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday evening.

While dodging the bullets, the Islamabad-bound bus, which was operated by a local private company, veered into the opposite side of the road and collided with a truck.

<h2>Two army men among dead</h2>

Among the dead were two army soldiers, who were in the bus, and one personnel of the Special Protection Unit was injured in the attack, Deputy Commissioner Chilas Arif Ahmed said.

Police said the bus was on its way from Ghizer district to Islamabad via Gilgit.

It started its journey from Ghizer, and made a stop at Gilgit to pick up more passengers, before moving towards the federal capital, the newspaper reported,

The GB interior minister said the bus driver stepped on the accelerator due to the firing which led to its head-on collision with a goods truck. He termed the gun attack as a terror incident.

According to local reports, the terrorists managed to escape from the scene after the attack.

The condition of several people was said to be critical and the death toll was expected to rise further.

So far, no organisation has taken responsibility for the attack.

In a statement, the Diamer deputy commissioner Sardar Shehryar said, “An unfortunate incident occurred in which a cowardly act was done, targeting a bus,” &nbsp;adding that five dead bodies had been identified.

An explosion at a university in the insurgency-hit southern Philippines claimed four lives and left at least 50 people injured during a Catholic Mass in the varsity’s gymnasium on Sunday (Dec 3).

The blast occurred in Marawi, the country’s largest Muslim city which was besieged by Islamist militants for five months in 2017.

Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr&nbsp;condemning&nbsp;the&nbsp;attack targeting the educational institution said,&nbsp;“I condemn the violent bombing incident that transpired this morning. Terroristic attacks on educational institutions must also be condemned because these are places that promote the culture of peace.”

<h2>Military suspect pro-Islamic militants&nbsp;</h2>

Mindanao State University said it is “deeply saddened and appalled by the act of violence that occurred during a religious gathering” in a statement on Facebook.

“This is clearly an act of terrorism. It’s not a simple feud between two people. A bomb will kill everybody around,” Mandangan told the Associated Press.

While the officials are investigating who is responsible for the blast at Mindanao State University, regional police director Brigadier General Allan Nobleza told reporters that they are not ruling out the “revenge” angle by pro-Islamic State militants, reported AFP news agency.

“We’re investigating if it’s an IED (improvised explosive device) or grenade throwing,” he was quoted as saying.

He stood next to a tired-looking US&nbsp;Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, who was visiting Amman as part of a tour of Arab capitals that crisscrossed the Middle East and also took him to Turkey and India.&nbsp;

The tour was prompted by international outrage over Israel’s response to the October 7 murder of more than 1,200 civilians by militants from Hamas who broke through the supposedly impenetrable wall that separates Israel and Gaza for a series of massacres of savage brutality. The victims included 260 young Israelis who attended a music festival.&nbsp;

Hamas abducted more than 200 survivors of the slaughter and took them to Gaza as hostages.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Israel, which has been receiving $3.8 billion in arms and aid every year for decades, has consistently ignored US&nbsp;policy on the matter of occupied territories – that there should be no Jewish settlements that would stand in the way of establishing a contiguous Palestinian state.&nbsp;

TJP said that "the objective for which the movement of Sheikh-ul-Hind emerged was destroyed after the independence of Pakistan."

It must be noted that Deobandi movement was initiated to restore the key tenets of Islam in Muslim life. At the&nbsp;onset in 1866, its goal was also to fight the British with greater strength after Indian subcontinent failed to free itself from British colonial rule during 1857 revolution. Therefore, in political sense, the Deobandi religious leaders remained staunchly anti-colonialist. But within Islam, they asserted themselves as the revivalists who intended to purify the practice of Islam.

A Jammu and Kashmir Police officer was shot dead outside his home in Baramulla district by terrorists on Tuesday (Oct 31), making it the third targeted attack in three days.

Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar was killed outside his residence at Kralpora village in Pattan area of the district, PTI news agency reported citing the officials.

Dar succumbed to his injuries as the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The police have cordoned off the village and a combing operation has been launched to track down the attackers, an official said.

Notably, it comes a day after a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in Pulwama district on Monday (Oct 30), a day after a police officer was critically injured in firing by terrorists in Srinagar.

Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar was killed outside his residence at Kralpora village in Pattan area of the district, PTI news agency reported citing the officials. Dar succumbed to his injuries as the doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police have cordoned off the village and a combing operation has been launched to track down the attackers, an official said. Notably, it comes a day after a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in Pulwama district on Monday (Oct 30), a day after a police officer was critically injured in firing by terrorists in Srinagar. Third targeted attack in three days The cop, Masroor Ahmad, was shot at from a point-blank range. As per the police sources, Ahmad was posted in District Police Line at Eidgah area of Srinagar. ''Terrorists fired upon and injured Inspector Masroor Ahmad near Eidgah, Srinagar. He was immediately shifted to hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation reveals that a pistol was used in this terror crime. Area has been cordoned off, and a case has been registered, '' Jammu and Kashmir Police said on microblogging site X.
