It is also presenting new challenges to our values and security, which I spoke about at the UN Committee Security Council on counter-terrorism last month. India and the United Kingdom are ideally placed to use our science, technology and digital leadership to meet these challenges and maximize these opportunities,"&nbsp;he said while speaking virtually at the Global Technology summit here.</p>

<p>Hailing Bengaluru as the world's fastest-growing hub, Cleverly said that both India and United Kingdom believe in innovation as a force for good and to make Britain even more attractive in Tech Talent, the country is establishing its global tech development network in Bengaluru this year.</p>

<p>"Together, we are a formidable team. We top our region's ranking in the global innovation index. Bengaluru is the fastest-growing tech hub in the world. London is number two. Our two countries believe in innovation as a force for good. Last year, the UK attracted over a third of all the tech investment in Europe. India and UK have superb academic research base and four of the top 10 universities are found in the UK. The number of Indian students coming to the UK has more than doubled in the past three years. We want to make Britain even more attractive in tech talent. So, we are establishing our global tech development network in Bengaluru this year,"&nbsp;he said.</p>

<p>The minister further highlighted India and UK's research partnership and stressed upon the sinister side of the digital age that needs to be protected from crime.</p>

<p>"The UK is India's second largest research partner across 200 projects, 175 institutions and 100 companies and now we are increasing research and development funding to 20 billion pounds by 2025. We expect 1.5 billion pounds of digital services to India and India's tech giants like Tata and Infosys, to support over 30,000 UK jobs. We are already working in so many ways to mobilize technology in our shared struggle against disease and against climate change,"&nbsp;he said.</p>

<p>"But I also want to see democracies like ours address other challenges, the sinister side of the digital age. We have learned over the past 20 years that without the right values built in from the start, tech can create serious problems and there will be also those who will be seeing in each new opportunity or new innovation, a new opportunity for crime or repression. Just as we want to protect our natural world for children, so we need to ensure protect our digital world is free, safe and peaceful,"&nbsp;he added.</p>

<p>The seventh edition of Global Technology Summit is being held from Tuesday in New Delhi till December 1 in a hybrid format. The Summit is India's annual flagship event on Geotechnology and is co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs and Carnegie India. <p>In what appears to be an elaborate, if cruel, joke, the founder of virtual reality company Oculuss claimed he is designing a VR headset that can actually kill the player who loses, or gets 'killed' in gaming parlance, during a video game.</p>

<p>In a blog post, Palmer Luckey who left Oculus VR after it was acquired by Facebook some years ago, said he was inspired by the Japanese novel series-turned-anime 'Sword Art Online'. In it, players are entrapped in an online role-playing game where death in the game implies death in the real world due to the lethal "NerveGear" headset they wear.</p>

<p>“The idea of tying your real life to your virtual avatar has always fascinated me — you instantly raise the stakes to the maximum level and force people to fundamentally rethink how they interact with the virtual world and the players inside it,” Luckey said.</p>

<p>After Washington tightened export curbs against Chinese technology businesses, US tech giant Apple Inc. postponed plans to utilise memory chips from China's Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) in its devices, the Nikkei said on Monday.</p>

<p>As per reports. Nikkei said that Apple had originally intended to begin using the NAND flash memory chips produced by the state-funded YMTC as soon as this year. Back in July, it also warned that 2022 sales would be at least $11 billion lower than it expected earlier. “We are also lowering core expenses in the calendar year 2022 and will look to take additional actions in the second half of the year,” said Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, according to the report, regarding the second-quarter earnings call.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gelsinger also released a memo to the company employees on Tuesday which outlines the plans to create an internal foundry model for external customers and the company’s product lines, said a different report. A foundry business is the one that builds chips that are designed by other companies, however, Intel till now has predominantly built and designed chips so far.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This comes at a time when the company faces intense pressure from investors over profits as Intel’s shares have fallen more than 50% in 2022 with a 20% plunge last month alone. The US-based company has also been trying to retain its position in the market with the release of new PC processors and graphics semiconductors which is reportedly a key part of its strategy to sell more chips to the data-centre market, said the Bloomberg report.&nbsp;<br />

<p>While India's GSLV Mk3 has flown all four Indian national missions successfully to date, this will be the first time that the rocket will be performing the paid service of ferrying customer satellites into space.</p>

<p>The cargo offloaded by the heavy-lift transporter plane were the 36 satellites of British internet service provider 'OneWeb', which are to be launched from India's spaceport in Sriharikota. The launch, which is said to be scheduled for October will mark a major milestone for India's space agency - the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).</p>

<p>The GSLV Mk3 rocket is a three-stage heavy-lift launch vehicle developed by ISRO. The vehicle has two solid strap-on motors (burns solid fuel), a core-stage liquid booster (burns a combination of liquid fuels) and a cryogenic upper stage (burns liquid hydrogen with liquid oxygen).</p>

<p>It is designed to carry 4 ton class of satellites into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) or about 10 tons to Low Earth Orbit (LEO), which is about twice the capability of its predecessor, the GSLV Mk II.</p>

<p>Thus far, ISRO has purely relied on its PSLV rocket (that can carry up to 1.75 tonnes to Low Earth Orbit), to do commercial launches. The addition of the GSLV MK3 to this list would mean that India can make a greater impact in the international market and thereby earn revenue from launching heavier customer satellites.</p>

<p>It has been less than two weeks since Apple released its newest iteration of the iPhone. The highly-anticipated iPhone 14 was launched amid much fanfare but it has quickly run into trouble as users complain of bizarre camera problems.</p>

<p>Reportedly, some users have been facing problems with the phone's camera that shakes uncontrollably while strange grinding sounds come out of it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The users noted that when opening the camera on third-party apps like TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram, the iPhone starts shaking rather uncontrollably which could inadvertently damage the small delicate parts of the smartphone.</p>

<p>Several users, including tech YouTubers, took to social media platforms to share videos of the phone shaking.</p>

<p>The study makes it clear that more and more advertisers are willing to spend big bucks to advertise on App Store, in addition to Apple News and Stocks. Advertisers allocated almost 15 per cent of their ad budget to Apple while both Google and Facebook saw a decline.&nbsp;</p>

They further asserted that Apple's MagSafe chargers consumed more electricity than the wired ones, thereby nullifying the said 'environmental gains' by removing the shipping of chargers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is pertinent to note that since 2020, Apple is selling its flagship product without a charger citing environmental concerns.
