UK anti-Muslim riots: Two sentenced for violent disorder following tragic knife attack

<p>Austria authorities have reportedly found Islamic State group and al Qaeda material at the house of the second and final suspect in connection with a foiled terror plot targeting US singer Taylor Swift’s shows. The country’s Interior Minister, Gerhard Karner, said Thursday (Aug 8) that no other suspects were being pursued by the police.</p>

<p>“The situation was serious, the situation is serious. But we can also say: A tragedy was prevented,” he was quoted as saying in local media.</p>

<p>The second suspect has been identified as a 17-year-old Austrian national with Turkish and Croatian roots. He was detained by special police forces near the stadium where concerts, which now stand cancelled, were slated to take place. A 19-year-old Austrian was earlier arrested in the case. The security officials had found chemical substances and technical devices at his home earlier.</p>

<p>Authorities allege the two men wanted to stage attacks outside the stadium, killing as many as they could using knives and explosives.</p>

<p>The 19-year-old suspect confessed his dangerous plans, officials claimed, saying, he was “clearly radicalised in the direction of the Islamic State and thinks it is right to kill infidels.” The second suspect was employed by a company providing services at the venue during the concerts.</p>

<p>The developments came as a rude shock for Taylor Swift fans across the country and the globe. Several people had spent thousands of dollars on travel and accommodation ahead of the planned concerts in Austria’s expensive capital city for the sold-out Eras Tour shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Ernst Happel Stadium.</p>

Austria authorities have reportedly found Islamic State group and al Qaeda material at the house of the second and final suspect in connection with a foiled terror plot targeting US singer Taylor Swift’s shows.

Austria authorities have reportedly found Islamic State group and al Qaeda material at the house of the second and final suspect in connection with a foiled terror plot targeting US singer Taylor Swift’s shows. The country’s Interior Minister, Gerhard Karner, said Thursday (Aug 8) that no other suspects were being pursued by the police. “The situation was serious, the situation is serious. But we can also say: A tragedy was prevented,” he was quoted as saying in local media. The second suspect has been identified as a 17-year-old Austrian national with Turkish and Croatian roots. He was detained by special police forces near the stadium where concerts, which now stand cancelled, were slated to take place. A 19-year-old Austrian was earlier arrested in the case. The security officials had found chemical substances and technical devices at his home earlier. Authorities allege the two men wanted to stage attacks outside the stadium, killing as many as they could using knives and explosives. The developments came as a rude shock for Taylor Swift fans across the country and the globe. Several people had spent thousands of dollars on travel and accommodation ahead of the planned concerts in Austria’s expensive capital city for the sold-out Eras Tour shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Ernst Happel Stadium. UK police were out in full force on Wednesday (July 31) to stop a repeat of the overnight violence that saw many officers hurt. The film works for these aspects- Reynold's comic timing and Jackman's overall presence. "At one point in the film, Deadpool calls himself a Marvel Jesus. He isn't too wrong. Deadpool & Wolverine has the potential to bring back Marvel Cinematic Universe's lost glory." Read the full review here...

Taylor Swift reviews best friend Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool & Wolverine: Film feels like a joy portal

Taylor Swift fans who missed her world tour or those who can’t get enough of her can catch her at the museum this summer. Watch in for more details!

All about Taylor Swift's 'Songbook Trail' exhibition

<p>Outfits, musical instruments, and other objects, all on loan from U.S. musician Taylor Swift, are going on display at London's V&amp;A in a temporary summer exhibition.</p>

<p>Titled "Taylor Swift | Songbook Trail" the exhibition is made up of 13 installations dotted across the museum's many galleries.</p>

<p>"It's a journey around the museum," curator Kate Bailey said.</p>

<p>"It follows chapters in Taylor Swift's career and we highlight the eras and showcase objects and looks worn by Taylor across the different spaces in the museum."</p>

<p>Bailey and her team were given access to Swift's personal archives to pick items for the theatrically staged installations, which are placed in carefully chosen galleries that connect to moments in the 14-time Grammy winner's career.</p>

<p>Among the objects on show are customised cowboy boots worn by a young Swift at the start of her career; the wig and facial hair she sported in "The Man" music video; reproductions of the hand-drawn storyboards for the "Willow" music video and a golden microphone with snake detail used by Swift, now 34, on the "Reputation" stadium tour.</p>

<p>Also on display are the ukulele played by Swift on the "Speak Now" world tour and the fisherman cap she wore on the "Red (Taylor's Version)" album cover.</p>

<p>"It's been a really fast-moving project, where I got to select works from the collection," said Bailey. "I wanted to make sure that we were able to showcase costumes, but also musical instruments, objects that kind of convey her whole career and creativity."</p>

<p>"It's the first time we've done a trail in this way. And it's the first time these objects have been seen in the UK. So, it's incredibly exciting and it's free."</p>

<p>"Taylor Swift Songbook Trail" is displayed throughout the V&amp;A South Kensington from June 27 to September 8. According to the museum, the trail takes 60-90 minutes to complete.</p>

Taylor Swift lends personal items to UK's V&A for museum 'journey'

<p>Taylor Swift is a force to reckon with. A fact that even fellow musicians recognise. During Coldplay's recent concert in Dusseldorf on Saturday, the band's lead vocalist Chris Martin took a moment to dedicate the song <em>Everglow</em> to Swift and Swifties.&nbsp;<br />

The touching gesture occurred as Swift continued mesmerising audiences across Germany with her record-breaking Eras Tour, having recently concluded a series of shows in Gelsenkirchen.<br />

"This is for all of you who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to the next city. So we sing this love song, this heartbreak song, and send it to Taylor wherever she is today," he said, &nbsp;Billboard reported.</p>

Chris Martin gives special shout out to Taylor Swift during Coldplay's concert, WATCH

<p>On Friday, July 19, fans at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins Arena were treated to a surprise performance offstage by none other than Anne Hathaway. The 41-year-old actress was spotted in the VIP section, showcasing her dance moves and enjoying the concert to the fullest.</p>

<p>Hathaway, known for her roles in films such as <em>The Devil Wears Prada</em>&nbsp;and <em>Les Misérables</em>,&nbsp;was caught on camera by several fans grooving to Swift's hits. In multiple videos shared on X (formerly Twitter), she could be seen dancing energetically to tracks like "...Ready for It," "Shake It Off," and "Blank Space."</p>

<p>In one particularly lively clip, Hathaway held her arms out, raised them high, and jumped up and down as Swift, 34, performed "Shake It Off" from her 1989 album. Another video showed her lifting her arm to the beat of "Blank Space" while chatting with a nearby companion. During the "Reputation" era of the concert, Hathaway swayed side to side and moved her arms to the rhythm of "...Ready for It."</p>

Love was all around in the stadium! Taylor Swift never misses a single chance to give a nod to her beau Travis Kelce. During her recent Amsterdam concert, things became emotional after the rockstar gave a heartwarming tribute to her love. During her recent performance on the Eras Tour in Amsterdam, Taylor gave a nostalgic moment to her fans by performing "Mary's Song," from her self-titled 2006 debut album during the secret songs segment. Listening to Swift's love ballad, not only her fans but also her beau Kelce were moved to tears. After London and Dublin, Kelce attended Taylor's final leg in the Dutch capital on Saturday. Like many previous shows, he was seen enjoying the night to the fullest before the emotional moment that many fans captured on their phones. In a video captured by a fan during the acoustic set, the pop star was seen performing the ballad on her piano as she sang the lyrics, “‘Cause all I know is we said hello / And your eyes look like coming home / All I know is a simple name / And everything has changed.” The clip showed Travis capturing the moment on his phone and was seen emotionally moved. He was seemingly wiping tears from his eyes as his girlfriend sang the emotional song. In another clip, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, was seen standing by Kelce's side during the emotional moments as she was seen checking on him.
