<p>The development came after Shatrughan Sinha, a vocal critic of the BJP leadership was denied the party ticket from&nbsp;Patna Sahib&nbsp;parliamentary constituency in Bihar.</p>

<p>He is currently the Member of Parliament (MP) from the seat. The BJP has fielded Union minister Ravi Shanker Prasad from the prestigious Bihar constituency.</p>

<p>The actor-turned-politician had met Congress&nbsp;president Rahul Gandhi on March 27th in Delhi and had announced his new association following the meeting.</p>

<p>Bihar will vote in all the seven phases of the general election from April 11 to May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sharing the stage with opposition leaders in Kolkata, disgruntled BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha Saturday called for changing the government in the <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/lok-sabha-polls-will-be-second-fight-for-independence-stalin-at-tmcs-opposition-rally-191385">2019 Lok Sabha election</a> and said he was not afraid of being removed from the ruling party.</p>

<p>Sinha has been at odds with his party over several issues and has criticised the demonetisation exercise and the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax. He has said he was attending the rally hosted by TMC chief Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata as a representative of the Rashtra Manch, a political action group launched by former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha.</p>

<p>"My elder brother Yashwant Sinha was saying that after this I will be definitely removed from the party, I told him 'koi baat nahi hai' (no problem)," he said at the rally attended by several opposition leaders, including from the AAP and the RJD.</p>

<p>Known for his powerful dialogues in Hindi movies, Sinha said, "He is in Bharatiya Janata Party but before that he is with Bharat ki janata."</p>

<p>Disgruntled BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday questioned the party's decision to form a government in Karnataka without the required majority and said politics of "Dhan-shakti over Jan-shakti" was neither acceptable nor desirable.</p>

<p>Hours after former Union minister Yashwant Sinha quit Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), his ex-party colleague Shatrughan Sinha has clarified that he will stay in the BJP only and will not join Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).</p>

<p>"There were rumours that I would quit the party because I had not been given the ticket. But, I am clarifying it today that I am here to stay and I am not going to go anywhere," said actor-turned-politician Sinha, who has criticised top BJP leadership and its decisions on multiple occasions, on Saturday.</p>

<p>In a major setback to the ruling AAP in Delhi, President Ram Nath Kovind has disqualified 20 of its MLAs for holding offices of profit, a decision the party said showed that the constitutional authorities were behaving like &quot;handmaidens of the central government&quot;.</p>

<p>Kovind gave his assent on Saturday to the recommendation in this regard by the Election Commission.</p>

<p>The WhatsApp group was accessed by the reporter of the Indian daily the Tribune.</p>

<p>The reporter joined the WhatsApp group and paid Rs 500 via Paytm. In return, the WhatsApp group provided him with an ID, Password as an access to details of any Aadhaar number.</p>

<p>UIDAI dismissed the report as false and called it a case of &quot;misreporting&quot;.<br />

The reporter has been booked under Section 419 (Punishment for cheating by impersonation), 420(Cheating), 468 (forgery) and 471 (Using forged document) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66 of the Information Technology (IT) act and Section 36/37 of the Aadhaar act.</p>

<p>The Editors Guild of India condemned UIDAI`s action, saying it was designed to &quot;browbeat a journalist.&quot;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;It is unfair, unjustified and a direct attack on the freedom of the press,&quot; the Guild said in a statement on Sunday.</p>

<p>BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha today (September 28) spoke in defence of party leader Yashwant Singh saying that he hit the nail right on the head with his criticism of the way the economy had been handled.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a chain of tweets, Mr Sinha said it would be &quot;childish&quot; to dismiss the concerns raised by the former finance minister. He alleged that someone in the &quot;infamous and pervasive dirty tricks department&quot; was ascribing motives to Yashwant Sinha&#39;s observations.</p>

<p>Shatrughan Sinha also added that it would be a childish move to overlook Yashwant&#39;s observations. The former actor contended people were &quot;trying to sidetrack the issues&quot; raised by the senior BJP leader and pointed out that in democracy, everyone is allowed to have a difference of opinion.</p>

<p>Titled &quot;I need to speak up now&quot;, Yashwant Sinha targeted the Centre by shedding light on the poor economic record and pointed out that demonetisation proved to be an &quot;unmitigated economic disaster&quot; and that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was a &quot;badly conceived and poorly implemented&quot; havoc.</p>

<p>He began the compelling article, saying, &quot;I shall be failing in my national duty if I did not speak up even now against the mess the finance minister has made of the economy.&quot;</p>

<p>Yashwant also added that the economy is on a downward spiral and many in the BJP do not dare to speak up against it out of fear.</p>

<p>Yashwant also affronted the raids conducted by Income Tax department, Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation and commented that it has become &quot;a new game to instill fear in the minds of people.&quot;</p>

<p>Sinha put a close to the article by saying, &quot;The prime minister claims that he has seen poverty from close quarters. His finance minister is working over-time to make sure that all Indians also see it from equally close quarters.&quot;</p>

<p>The Congress and other Opposition parties attacked the Centre and asked the government to respond to the government&#39;s scathing attack.</p>
