The flaw was discovered by Ryan Pickren, a security expert, who was later awarded money by Apple for finding their shortcoming.

According to him, this has a lot to do with how Apple’s browser - Safari logs permissions for websites that are visited frequently.

For instance, a video chat application like Skype only needs permission to access your camera and microphone once, after which it will automatically access the lens whenever needed.

In a conversation with Wired, Pickren claimed that an attacker could make a “malicious website that, from Safari’s perspective could then turn into Skype”.

Simply put, you no longer will know the hacker has access not only to your camera and microphone but can also screen all information and data!&nbsp;

Additionally, the hacker now can take as many pictures of you as they want, and then use them as they deem fit.

As announced a few weeks ago, the couple no longer bears Royal titles and are expected to live independently.

After this startling revelation, the couple quickly moved to Canada, where they received security cover from the Canadian government, but only for a while.

The spokesperson for the couple responded to Trump’s statement, Reuters reported. Turns out, the couple has no plans to seek security cover from the US.

Reportedly, they are relocating to Los Angeles in the west-coast state of California.

A spokeswoman for the couple said later in a statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to ask the US government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made."

Meghan Markle had openly criticised Trump during his 2016 election campaign. She had allegedly referred to him as misogynistic and divisive.

Recently, the couple boarded a private plane to Los Angeles. The coronavirus pandemic has infected thousands in the US. Canada and the US have closed their borders and have limited travel to essential services only.

Los Angeles is not new for at least Markle, who grew up in the area with her mother Doria. The Walt Disney Co had claimed last week that Meghan Markle was the voice behind a nature documentary all set to release on Disney+ this Friday.&nbsp;

In today’s world, Indian citizens are exposed to ‘level 2.0’ of safety threats that include drones, cyber threats and terror. Empirical examples from around the world show that terrorists are effectively using technology and social media to spread propaganda and access confidential information. And India, having some of the fastest-growing cities in the world, act as a perfect ground for a terrorist to penetrate. Therefore, as New India aspires to build smart cities and develop infrastructure, it is as necessary to simultaneously work on safety measures. This must be done in three areas, namely -&nbsp;intelligence, the internet and social media.&nbsp;

Intelligence&nbsp;

One thing that became evident after 26/11 was that there was that India’s intelligence needed to vastly improve, especially when it came to communicating information to the relevant body in a timely manner. Easier said than done. During 9/11 in the USA, the CIA did have information about hijackers being present in the country but this was not communicated to the FBI. So what needs to be done? One good thing that came out of 26/11 was that the Centre immediately took steps to improve intelligence gathering and coordination between security agencies. Statistically, this has reduced the number of terror attacks in urban areas. Additionally, multi-agency coordination centres (MACCs) and subsidiary multi-agency coordination centres have been established. More needs to be done. Inter-communication in security agencies must improve using secure technology. This will in turn speed up coordination and action.&nbsp;

Internet&nbsp;

Terrorism has turned digital. The most recent national elections saw the spread of propaganda, as well as the introduction of fake news sparking panic and digital disruption in infrastructure. While Digital India and cashless transactions bring in transparency, accountability and increased access, there are certain things that need to be taken care of. The biggest item is individual information. The central government has already started enacting cyber legislations and has established cybersecurity bodies including creating a division for Cyber and Information Security as part of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This is just a start. India needs to build effective systems to counter cyberthreats and keep individual information secure at the earliest. The nation is also in dire need of cybersecurity policy for the public sector, the private sector, the government and for the individual. This policy should include the most effective ways of cyber-resilience and managing cyber threats. Cyber-capabilities must increase in every state. Along with that, higher education should include cyber-security awareness and training. Young minds educated in cyber-security can help build upon and/or innovate robust systems with the newest technology.&nbsp;

Social Media

With the exponential usage in smartphones, individual digital footprints are without a doubt in existence. The danger to this? Social media platforms are now being used by terrorists to widen their reach, recruit followers and spread radical information. Terrorist group Al-Qaeda’s website contains information on how to build bombs. Communication using fake profiles is relatively easy as well on social media platforms. The impact of terrorism using social media could plainly be seen with radicalisation amongst youth. It is up to India’s security agencies to be robust with monitoring these platforms and publishing counter-narratives in such cases. Additionally, improved monitoring technology should be used to locate terrorist posts. In this case, hard power should be used to infiltrate and punish those that are caught.&nbsp;

Conclusion

When planning the development of cities, collaboration between the government and citizens is absolutely integral to ensure the safety of India’s people and organisations. More dialogue should be held between decision-makers and qualified professionals. Innovation in security technology should be encouraged and financed. Education and awareness on protection from cyberthreat should be spread consistently on that individuals are aware and conscious.&nbsp;

A major hurdle that also needs to be taken care of is the transportation of security personnel. Government investment on mass transit systems is a great step in the right direction to tackle this problem. And speaking of investments, more is needed to enhance security agency capabilities in India. We need to start using the best technology to catch and tackle cyberthreat. Legislation must pass that contains both awareness and strategy against threat. More and more people will be living in urban areas as the country continues to grow. Therefore, security preparedness is essential to developing a city holistically if India aims to become a developed country in the near future.&nbsp;

For the first time a paramilitary force is planning to hire approximately 1.2 lakh retired defence and ex-Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has prepared a blueprint for hiring these personnel for the force.

Their hiring would be done for five years, a letter accessed by ANI says.

"Please refer to the discussions held during video conferencing on 18.11.2019 under the chairmanship of DG, CISF, on the above subject. It is mentioned that a proposal for raising of ceiling limit from 1,80,000 to 2,15,000 posts as well as raising of 04 Reserve Battalions was submitted to MHA on 27.05.2019. MHA has advised resubmitting the proposal for raising the ceiling of CISF from 1,80,000 to 3,00,000 posts," says the CISF letter, issued from by DG office.

"Further, it was also directed to undertake marketing of CISF security to big private industrial establishments and for this purpose, a Unit within CISF may be created within the available resources and manpower," the letter written on Tuesday adds.

DG, CISF, has asked all Inspectors General (IGs) to identify large industrial establishments in the private sector where CISF can be deployed and forward their report.

Accordingly, a revised proposal for raising the ceiling of CISF from 1,80,000 to 3,00,000 posts as well as raising 16 additional Reserve Battalions was sent to the MHA on November 5.

The government sources also said that Pakistan has denied India's request to allow an advance team from India to see the arrangements and protocol at Kartarpur.

Beijing karaoke bars are closing, toy weapon sales are banned and every delivery package is being scanned: the capital is taking no chances weeks ahead of a massive military parade to mark Communist China's 70th anniversary.

Beijing has been preparing for the big celebration well ahead of the October 1 event, with several large screens installed at Tiananmen Square, where tanks and other army hardware will be shown off.

Security was already tighter than usual to enter Beijing's massive square as guards sifted through every bag in the long line of local tourists heading for a visit on Thursday. An AFP journalist was not allowed to go through.

Several kilometres away, the Workers Stadium has been closed off, with temporary high walls covered in fake grass surrounding the facility normally used by Chinese football team Beijing Guoan.

A security guard told AFP that the government "wants to use the stadium for the 70th-anniversary preparations."

All businesses inside the stadium, including a gym and restaurants, have been told to close between September 5 and the October 1 national day.

"The government has notified us to close up," said Joey Xu, manager of Puerta 20, a restaurant inside the stadium.

"Our staff will be offered paid vacation. But the government isn't compensating businesses for their losses," he said.

Other businesses near the stadium are also closing up from mid-September.

"Authorities fear that businesses around the stadium that operate late into the night, especially ones with loud patrons like ours, could cause disturbances," said a manager at Mei Karaoke bar who only offered his last name, Zhang.

The parade comes as a trade war between Beijing and Washington threatens to drag down the global economy and follows three months of anti-government civil unrest in Hong Kong.

The parade is expected to showcase some of the most advanced weaponry of the Chinese army, in an attempt to drum up patriotic fervour.

Other plans for the anniversary celebration include an awards ceremony, fireworks, souvenir stamps and coins, an official documentary, and a musical.

Roads around Tiananmen Square and Changan Avenue, where soldiers will march, will be closed Saturday and Sunday for a rehearsal of the massive parade.

Slow post and no drones

Beijing's army of delivery staff who carry hot meals and other packages across the city within minutes have been told to reject parcels from anyone who cannot produce valid identity documents.

It forms part of a broader campaign to tighten postal security ahead of the 70th celebrations.

The State Post Bureau last month said all packages coming into Beijing will have to be X-rayed and individually stamped to prove they have been inspected.

Hobbyists who want to buy drones, toys with "countdown mechanisms" similar to ticking time-bombs or fake landmines that can be "detonated" with a remote-control device will also have to wait till after the October 1 event to place their orders.

During the visit, the Indian delegation will likely discuss regional security issues pertaining to Afghanistan-Pak region and the issue of possible assistance provided by US to Pakistan in regard with F-16 fighter jet fleet, sources said.

Also, "All ATMs shall be grouted to a structure (wall, pillar, floor, etc.) by September 30, 2019, except for ATMs installed in highly secured premises such as airports, etc. which have adequate CCTV coverage and are guarded by state/central security personnel".

Further, banks may also consider rolling out a comprehensive e-surveillance mechanism at the ATMs to ensure timely alerts and quick response, it said.

The new measures to be adopted by banks are in addition to the existing instructions, practices and guidance issued by the RBI and law enforcement agencies. The RBI also warned the banks that non-adherence of timelines or non-observance of the instructions would attract regulatory action including levy of penalty.

Raising concerns over incidents of assault and harassment against residents of Jammu and Kashmir, especially students, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed state governments and Union Territories to ensure safety and security of these individuals in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.

In a letter written to Chief Secretaries of all states and Union Territories by MHA’s Department of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs, Director Beena Yadav said, “The Government is concerned at the reports of incidents of assaults and harassment against residents of Jammu and Kashmir, especially students in some parts of the country, in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack of February&nbsp;14, 2019. In this regard, an Advisory dated February, 16 was issued to all State Governments and Union Territory Administration to take necessary steps to ensure safety and security of the persons belonging to Jammu and Kashmir.”

The government order also cited a <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/supreme-court-directs-chief-secretaries-dgps-of-11-states-to-take-action-against-assault-on-kashmiris-post-pulwama-198894">Supreme Court directive</a> issued on Friday in this regard and said that the state and UT administration and the nodal officers appointed by them must take all necessary steps to prevent any act of assault, threat, intimidation and social boycott against Kashmiris as well as minorities in accordance with the apex court’s order.

The Supreme Court had directed the chief secretaries and the directors general of police of all state and Union territories to take strong and necessary measures to prevent attacks on Kashmiris and other minorities in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack.

The bench had also directed the MHA to give wide publicity to the appointment of nodal officers so that people could immediately approach them in case Kashmiris or other minorities face threat or discrimination in any part of the country.

As many as 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in the dastardly attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Pulwama on February 14.

The company has already started testing some networks with Vodafone and testing MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) technology with T-Mobile.

Last November Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding on testing 5G solutions with investment group PPF.

PPF controls Czech and Slovak operator O2 Czech Republic, Czech network provider CETIN and last year bought Telenor's mobile operations in Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia.
