Addressing the Parliament on the No-Confidence motion, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Congress has been launching a failed product again and again and this has contributed to the voters' dislike of Congress.

Modi government wins no-trust vote, opposition walks out of parliament

India's ruling NDA Alliance has defeated the no-confidence motion that had been brought against the sitting government in the parliament. Three days of heated debates and pointed attacks culminated in the Indian prime minister's closing address in the lower house.

Home Minister Amit Shah spoke in the Lok Sabha today after Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Modi government amidst Manipur violence. While talking about it, Gandhi said, "India murdered in Manipur". In his speech, Shah also talked about the no-confidence motion against the BJP government in the Parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mark his presence in the Lok Sabha on Thursday (August 10) to reply to the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition against the NDA government. A vote will be held after Prime Minister’s reply to the debate - the outcome of which is already known with the numbers comfortably stacked in favour of the government. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the PM will be present in the House on Thursday to reply to the no-confidence motion.

Day two of the high stakes Indian Parliament debate over the no-confidence motion floated against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government and reinstated opposition leader Rahul Gandhi led the opposition block. This as he delivered his much-anticipated speech in the Lower House making sharp remarks against the ruling government.

No-Confidence motion: Opposition vs Government over Manipur clashes

I have just spoken the truth, I apologize if it hurts you, my BJP colleagues, you don't have to fear me today, says Rahul Gandhi while addressing the Lok Sabha. Within few days my arrogance went away with the journey, I had this fear in me that would I be able to walk, but few instances gave me the motivation. Last year for 130 days I travelled from one corner of the country to the other corner. Many people asked me during my journey that why are you walking? What's your aim? At the beginning I didn't had any answer to this, I wanted to see India, wanted to meet people, wanted to be with them, but didn't know what I wanted to do next.

No-confidence motion: You want to burn whole India, says Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha

I have just spoken the truth, I apologize if it hurts you, my BJP colleagues, you don't have to fear me today, says Rahul Gandhi while addressing the Lok Sabha. I'm talking about the killing of my mother in Manipur, Manipur is my second mother. Each day you're letting violence, you're killing my mother. Indian Armed Forces can bring peace in Manipur within one day, but you're not doing it because you want to kill Bharat Mata in Manipur. Our PM doesn't listen to the voice of our people, our PM listens to only two people - Amit Shah & Adani. You are throwing kerosene in the entire nation, first you did so in Manipur and now you're doing it in Haryana.

PM Modi thinks Manipur is not in India, says Rahul Gandhi while addressing the Lok Sabha

No-Confidence Motion: Not going to focus on Adani today, BJP should not fear: Rahul Gandhi

The opposition parties, who have united to create the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) front, are considering introducing a no-confidence vote in the Lok Sabha against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led administration. The INDIA alliance's action is perceived as a tactic to pressure Prime Minister Narendra Modi into speaking on the floor of the House during the current monsoon session of Parliament on the violence in Manipur.

Gravitas: Lawmaker holding her baby prevented from addressing parliament

<p>Voters in Greece have sent not one but three far-right nationalist parties into the parliament. This has happened for the first time since the restoration of democracy nearly 50 years ago. The parties garnered 12.8 per cent votes between them and have bagged a total of 300 seats in parliament.</p>

<p>Chief amongst them are the Spartans -- whose logo is an ancient warrior's helmet -- a party so little known that local journalists did not even know where their offices were.</p>

<p>The general election they contested on Sunday was their first. The party appeared in opinion polls just two weeks before the vote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the man who backs the party is widely known in Greece. Ilias Kasidiaris is the former spokesman of the neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn. The party was labelled a criminal organisation by the courts and banned from contesting elections.</p>

<p>Kasidiaris is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence along with other Golden Dawn members for crimes including murder of an anti-fascist rapper.</p>

<p>Hellenes, the party he founded after leaving Golden Dawn, had also been blocked from standing in the polls.</p>

<p>In spite of his criminal record, Kasidiaris' endorsement led to Spartans picking up 140,000 votes and bagging 12 seats.</p>

<p>The party leader Vasilis Stigas thanked Kasidiaris after Sunday's vote, calling him "the fuel that gave us the push to get this result."</p>

<p>Other than the Spartans, the more established pro-Russia party Greek Solution obtained 230,000 votes which was enough to elect 12 lawmakers. The party is led by former telesales marketer Kyriakos Velopoulos.</p>

<p>Velopoulos, whose party first appeared in the 2019 European parliamentary election, used to peddle beeswax as a treatment for hair loss on his television show, as well as letters allegedly written by Jesus Christ.</p>

<p>Other than these two parties, the anti-abortion Victory party bagged 10 seats. It is led by a theologian who is fond of reciting psalms during his speeches.</p>

<p>Its manifesto included a plan to require immigrants to undergo monthly health, working status and penal record checks. Anyone who failed to comply would be expelled from Greece.</p>

<p>"Although I was afraid of the far right's rise, I did not expect us to be facing the most far-right parliament in recent Greek history and one of the worst in Europe," wrote Aristides Chatzis, a law professor at the University of Athens, in Kathimerini daily.</p>

<p>Support appears to be strongest in northern Greece, a traditional stronghold of the right.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Far-right parties took more than 20 per cent of the vote in six electoral districts in the northern Macedonia region.</p>
