Russia's withdrawal from the southern city of Kherson in Ukraine has not gone down well with the elite of the country. Reportedly, Alexander Dugin, a longtime ally of Putin often touted as his 'brain' has called for his removal after the Russian troops were subjected to a humiliating 'withdrawal' from the city. In a now-deleted Telegram message, Dugin vented out his frustration and even hinted that Putin should be killed. “We give the Ruler absolute fullness of power, and he saves us all, the people, the state, people, citizens, at a critical moment,” said Dugin. “If for this he surrounds himself with s*** or spits on social justice, this is unpleasant, but if only he saves," he said before adding, “Then - the fate of the 'king of the rains'." Dugin quoted from a story titled ‘Golden Bough’ by James Frazer where a king is killed because he failed to bring rain during a drought, according to a report by Mirror. A few days after a US Court denied former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes' request for a new trial, her counsel has sought leniency from the judges for the November 18 sentencing. Reportedly, in an 82-page document filed in a California federal court, Holmes' lawyers argued that their client had been stigmatised by the media trial and that if she goes to prison, she shouldn't serve more than 18 months. "No defendant should be made a martyr to public passion. We ask that the court consider, as it must, the real person, the real company and the complex circumstances surrounding the offense," read the document. "We acknowledge that this may seem a tall order given the public perception of this case—especially when Ms. Holmes is viewed as the caricature, not the person." The exchange's founder Sam Bankman-Fried secretly transferred $10 billion of customer funds from FTX to Bankman-Fried's trading company Alameda Research, the people told Reuters. A big share of the $10 billion has since vanished, said sources with one saying the missing amount was about $1.7 billion and the other revealing it was somewhere between $1 billion and $2 billion. Meanwhile, FTX has said on its Telegram channel that the crypto platform has been hacked and there is a discrepancy of USD 600 million in funds as they were 'transferred'. The "transfers" occured on the same day that FTX formally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after losing allegedly billions of dollars in user payments. The transfers have not been officially acknowledged by FTX leadership. Watch | Binance walks away from FTX deal due to 'mishandled funds' According to Coindesk, the incident happened on Wednesday. A 29-year-old woman in Texas has been sentenced to death for killing a pregnant acquaintance in October 2020 so that the foetus inside her womb could be removed and stolen.

Taylor Parker on Wednesday was sentenced in Texas after a lengthy trial that began in September this year.

The drama began when Parker announced her pregnancy to her boyfriend and family over a period of time. She purchased a fake silicone tummy and shared this news on social media. However, everything was a lie. The actual truth was that because of the Hysterectomy, she was unable to get pregnant.

The horrific scene of the murder happened on October 09, 2020, when Readab Simmons-Hancock, a 21-year-old pregnant acquaintance in her last stages of pregnancy was stabbed over 100 times in her home by Parker. Parker then sliced her stomach to take her unborn child. Her three-year-old daughter was also present at the time of the instance but was sleeping in another room, AFP reported.

After escaping from the house, Parker was taken into custody shortly while driving her car around nine miles from the crime scene.

The police said that Parker had the infant on her lap. The police department added that Parker claimed that she gave birth to the child. However, the child also passed away despite being admitted to the hospital.

According to the police testimony during the trial, Parker had been looking for pregnant women across stores and maternity wards a few weeks prior to the murder.

Hours after Australian Federal Police (AFP) blamed Russian hackers for the Medibank hack, the Russian embassy on Friday evening released a statement, criticising AFP and its Commissioner Reece Kershaw's decision to openly blame Moscow.

The Russian embassy added that fighting cybercrime that affects people's lives and damages businesses, "demands a cooperative, non-politicised and responsible approach from all members of the world community."

What did Australian authorities say?

As reported by WION, on Friday, AFP chief Kershaw blamed Russia after another tranche of data from the medical insurer firm related to abortion was leaked online.

“The AFP is undertaking covert measures and working around the clock with our domestic agencies and our international networks including Interpol. This is important, because we believe those responsible for the breach are in Russia,”

Read more: Medibank data leak: Australian police blame Russian hackers

AFP chief Kershaw said that they will be holding talks with the Russian law effacement to nab the cyber criminals.

“Our intelligence points to a group of loosely affiliated cybercriminals who are likely responsible for past significant breaches in countries across the world. These cybercriminals are operating like a business with affiliates and associates who are supporting the business. We also believe some affiliates may be in other countries,” he said.

What has happened at Medibank?

Medibank, the largest health insurance company in Australia covering one-sixth of its citizens had its data breached by hackers. Since then, the medical and personal information of its customers has been released on dark web with hackers demanding ransom for the data.

Among the customers of Medibank is Prime Minister Anthony Albanese who expressed concern that his personal information, among those leaked, might also be available to the public.

"I’m disgusted by the Medibank attack. And I know all Australians are rightly distressed by the release of deeply personal information. We need to stand together at a time like this," tweeted Albanese.
