<p>“Going forward, since we know he is capable of playing all three formats, we need to be smart with his workload management. He has played a lot of domestic cricket, and got quality skills out there,” Mhambrey said on Friday.</p>

<p>As the Team landed in the USA for the remaining two T20Is, Paras feels wickets in this part of the world would assist batters more than the ones on offer in the Caribbean. <p>“It is a little bit different with the black soil. The kind of soil we get in the north of India. It is going to be a good wicket to bat on. The ball will come onto the bat. That is what we saw in the nets. Looks like it is going to be a high-scoring game,” he said.</p>

<p>Mukesh revealed he felt surreal after watching Kohli running towards him and celebrating like it was his wicket. He added, having watched the veteran batter on TV throughout the past decade and seeing him running towards you was great in itself.</p>

<p>"When I got the wicket, Virat bhaiya ran up and hugged me. I was in a different world. The man I have watched all these years on TV and looked up to is hugging you. It felt great," Mukesh told Mohammed Siraj in an interaction for BCCI.TV.</p>

<p>"When you (Siraj) and JD (Unadkat) bhai were bowling, Rohit bhai said 'It's not a pitch where you can get wickets instantly. You need to work hard.' I had to set up the batter with consistent bowling," Mukesh added.</p>

<p>The second Test match of the series between India and West Indies is underway at the Queen's Park Oval ground in Port of Spain in Trinidad. In this match, the Indian team scored 438 runs after Virat Kohli’s brilliant 121. With the first 11 balls of the match, debutant Mukesh Kumar and Pacer Mohammad Siraj did wonders on the fourth day of the match.</p>

<h2>Amazing first 11 balls</h2>

<p>The fourth day started ahead of schedule as rain played spoilsport on the third day. On the first 11 balls of the day, Mukesh Kumar and Siraj sent both the openers back to the pavilion. Captain Rohit handed the ball to Mukesh for the 109th over of the innings, the first of the fourth day. He made Alik Athanaje walk back to the pavilion on the fourth ball of the over. Although Alik took DRS, the decision went in favour of Mukesh. Alik scored 37 runs in 115 balls with the help of 3 fours.</p>

<p>Then in the next over, Pacer Mohammad Siraj sent Jason Holder (15) to the pavilion. Holder hit 2 fours in 44 balls. India got 2 wickets in the first 11 balls of the day.</p>

With Mohammed Shami and Siraj currently leading India’s fast-bowling department in the absence of injured Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant feels if youngsters, including Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh, alongside Mukesh Kumar, are properly trained, they can turn into future assets across formats.</p>

<p>Speaking on the YouTube podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Ishant said players like Umran and Arshdeep have bright futures, given they are taken care of well, and also showered praises on the latest inclusion in the Indian team – Mukesh Kumar, calling him the simplest man he has ever met.</p>

<p>“If you work properly with him, Umran Malik has the potential to do well for the country for a long period of time. (The other would be) Arshdeep Singh," Ishant said.</p>

<p>While for the right-handed pacer Mukesh, who following his impressive consistent run in the domestic structure, earned a maiden India call-up for the upcoming West Indies&nbsp; series, Ishant said like Umran and Arshdeep, Mukesh also needs correct guidance and has all the potential to become a leading bowler in times to come.</p>

<p>Mukesh, who played for Delhi Capitals alongside Ishant in the IPL 2023, picked up seven wickets in ten games at an economy going over ten runs per over. Backing Mukesh despite such numbers, Ishant said Mukesh bowled some tough overs during the tournament, with most of them against some of the hardest hitters of the ball in world cricket.</p>

<p>“Not many people know his (Mukesh Kumar) story, but I haven’t seen a man as simple as him. If you ask him to bowl a particular delivery, he will bowl only that! He needs the right guidance on the field so that when the pressure situation comes, he knows what delivery to bowl. He went for runs in IPL because he bowled the tough overs. No one sees the situation in which he bowled, or which batsman he bowled to. Everyone sees that he conceded 50 runs in 4 overs.</p>

<p>“When Russell is playing, and they’ve lost eight wickets, what does he have to lose? If you even fail to execute one Yorker, he will hit you for a six. No one notices these things. If he’s guided properly, he can become a very good fast bowler,” Ishant, who picked ten wickets from eight matches in IPL 2023, added.</p>

<p>As per the schedule, Windsor Park in Dominica will host the first Test from July 12-16, while the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad will play host to the second game from July 20-24 – which would also be the 100th Test between West Indies and India.</p>

As per a report in the PTI, the selection committee wishes to include batter Yashasvi Jaiswal and seamer Mukesh Kumar for the two Tests, replacing Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav in the line-up.</p>

<p>As per Times of India (TOI), an unnamed senior BCCI official has conveyed these names for standbys and also informed that those players, who will not feature in the IPL 2023 playoffs, which start from May 23rd, will travel to England earlier than others to get acclimatise to the conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trying to find his feet after losing the BCCI’s central contract, Rahane, who also did well in the Ranji season before this, shined under MS Dhoni in yellow colours – and given his run of form, he is not likely to put a full stop.</p>
