Ranbir Kapoor loses patience with paparazzi after Love & War dinner with Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal | Watch

It’s here! Alia Bhatt’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Love & War has finally been unveiled. A day earlier, Ranbir Kapoor’s look from the film was released. On Friday, Bhansali Productions shared the first glimpse of Alia’s character, dressed in vintage glamour. The film Love & War also features Vicky Kaushal and has been one of the most talked-about films ever since it was announced.

The first look of Alia Bhatt in Love & War

In the first poster, Alia is shown in a striking new look, wearing a dramatic magenta-red outfit and an elaborate headpiece with feathres. Alia’s look reminds you of yesteryear’s cabaret dancer. Wearing a crop top with a thigh-high slit skirt, the poster gives away that it seems to be from a dance sequence, but does not reveal too many details about her role.

The production house shared the poster on social media along with a caption that read: “Aag bhi, dilon ki jaan bhi! ❤️‍🔥 Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027 ❤️ See you at the movies! 🎬.”

According to a source close to the project, “The first look of Love & War is expected to be unveiled soon, building anticipation among fans who have been eagerly waiting. The big look reveal is currently in the works and should be released before Diwali 2026. While the exact date is still being finalised, the asset is expected to be unveiled in the weeks to come as the team begins building anticipation for the film.”

Also Read: Is Love and War a revision of Sangam? Love & War big update: Official first look for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic arriving soon

Ranbir Kapoor is reuniting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director who launched him with his movie Saawariya in 2007.

Working together with SLB in his forthcoming movie Love and War is an exciting experience for Kapoor again. At the ongoing 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the actor talked about working with Bhansali after a long gap of 17 years.

''I am extremely excited. He is my godfather. Everything I know about films, everything I know about acting, it is something I learnt from him,” Ranbir said on Sunday.

Saying that he hasn't changed at all, the Animal actor added, ''He hasn’t changed at all. He is extremely hard-working. All he thinks about is his movies. He just wants to speak about the character, he wants you to create, do something different.”

More about Love and War

Directed by Bhansali, the movie will bring three acting powerhouses—Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—together on the screen for the first time. However, this is Ranbir and Alia's second movie together after Brahmastra.

Not much is known about the movie, such as its plot. But if reports are to be believed, the upcoming movie will feature a love triangle between the lead characters.

According to a report by India Today, the film is likely based on the 1964 film Sangam, which starred Ranbir's grandfather Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar.

Citing an inside source, India Today said, ''Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ is a love triangle, capturing the trials and tribulations of complex relationships, much like what we saw in Sangam. Calling it a remake would be far-fetched. But Bhansali is adapting the screenplay to modern times with ‘Love & War,’ which is inspired by the 1964 film that was applauded."

The movie will hit the theatres on Christmas 2025.

All he thinks about is his movies. He just wants to speak about the character, he wants you to create, do something different.” More about Love and War Directed by Bhansali, the movie will bring three acting powerhouses—Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal—together on the screen for the first time. However, this is Ranbir and Alia's second movie together after Brahmastra. Not much is known about the movie, such as its plot. But if reports are to be believed, the upcoming movie will feature a love triangle between the lead characters. Citing an inside source, India Today said, ''Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ is a love triangle, capturing the trials and tribulations of complex relationships, much like what we saw in Sangam. Calling it a remake would be far-fetched. But Bhansali is adapting the screenplay to modern times with ‘Love & War,’ which is inspired by the 1964 film that was applauded." The movie will hit the theatres on Christmas 2025.
