<p>The 28-year-old was on 13 when he inside-edged a delivery from paceman Dhawan Kulkarni onto his stumps and started walking off without bothering to look behind.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kulkarni was celebrating too but it was soon cut short when the bowler realised that the ball had lit up the zing bail but failed to dislodge it, ricocheting off the leg stump to the fine-leg boundary for a four instead.</p>

<p>Lynn went on to score 50 off 32 deliveries in Kolkata's successful eight-wicket win chasing Rajasthan's 139-3 that put them at the top of the IPL table with four wins from five matches.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kolkata's batting coach Simon Katich spoke highly of side's explosive batting unit that has inspired the team to two wins and a narrow defeat so far in the ongoing edition of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/ipl-2019">Indian Premier League</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In an exclusive interview to WION, Katich said, "Lot of positives in the three matches so far. Didn't get up against Delhi especially in the Super Over, but proud of the way the boys fought back."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Against Delhi, Kolkata was at a score of 61 after losing five wickets but the middle batting order stepped up and ended up giving a 185-run target.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We got highly skilled batsmen. Nice to have that balance, I trust the boys to go with their instinct," Katich said.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The former Australia left-handed batsman talked about Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik's magnificent form in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We knew how much of a match-winner Russel can be but from a batting point of view, we tried to work on keeping his front leg still and that has allowed him to be in a much more powerful position," said Kolkata's batting coach on Russell's training.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kolkata Knight Riders assistant coach Simon Katich is confident that their captain Dinesh Karthik will once again excel in his designated finisher's role, making a case for his selection in India's World Cup squad.</p>

<p>"That's an opportunity for people like us," he said.</p>

<p>Kravis also highlighted the need for a healthy local bond market in India.</p>

<p>"If you don't have a long-term bond market you limit the growth because you're putting all the onus back on to the banks to basically be the provider of capital," Kravis. "That's the reason that we set up our two NBFCs (non-banking financial companies) here - one in real estate credit and one is in corporate credit."</p>

<p>KKR, founded in 1976, currently manages assets roughly worth $195 billion. The company opened an office in India in 2009 and currently has about 43 staff. It has invested more than $7 billion in its credit business in the country and will invest more in the business going forward, he said.</p>

<p>KKR has also changed its focus to acquiring control positions or significant minority with near-control rights in companies instead of taking minority positions that did not give the company influence, Kravis said.</p>

<p>KKR's investments in India include hospital management firm Radiant Life Care and Max Financial Services, the holding company of private insurance firm Max Life Insurance.</p>

<p>Explosive Kolkata&nbsp;batsman Robin Uthappa feels cricket is going through a paradigm shift to a power game and any total on board now looks chaseable.</p>

<p>"The changes in the game are dynamic. It is changing as a sport, anything looks like chaseable, I feel cricket is shifting to a power game now so chasing is the choice. There is a paradigm shift in the nature of the sport," said Uthappa, who played a 36-ball 48-run knock to chase down Rajasthan's total of 160-8 on a slow wicket.</p>

<p>With three wins from five matches, Uthappa said he is satisfied with KKR's progress in the tournament.<br />

"We are happy in the position we are. We are at the top and might have played a game more but we played good cricket. It is important to peak at the right time," he said.</p>

<p>"It is a two-halve tournament. Initially we were looking to qualify for the playoffs, you need the momentum. After six games we would have a nice break so we are quite happy where we are. Every game is important for us," said Uthappa.</p>

<p>The 32-year-old was also happy with his batting form after making useful contributions in the middle order.<br />

"I did not have a good domestic season but I always felt I was striking the ball well. That is what I feel now. Need to get better and better," said Uthappa.</p>

<p>He also praised Man of the Match Nitesh Rana, who has scored 162 in five matches so far.</p>

<p>It was the summer of 2002 when my parents and I went to watch Sanjay Leela Bhansali&#39;s <em>Devdas</em>. Parents decided to take me out for the latest blockbuster after I had gotten over with my half yearly exams in school. They thought what better way to give the child a break than make her watch a literary classic on the big screen.</p>

<p>Unfortunately for my parents, Bhansali&#39;s <em>Devdas</em> turned out to be anything but a classic. And as I lapped the visual extravaganza on screen, my Bengali middle-class, literary well-versed parents sat there fuming in their seats - silently nodding their head in disapproval as Paro and Chandramukhi danced together to <em>Dola Re Dola</em>. I even noticed my mother grimacing in pain at one time when Kirron Kher put up a theatrical dance performance explaining Devdas and Paro&#39;s love for each other to the entire village.</p>

<p>Years passed by, and while the world celebrated <em>Devdas</em> as Bhansali&#39;s finest, Bengalis across sniggered at the film and it&#39;s wrong representation of the community. And that&#39;s all they have done till now. Over rounds of tea/dinner and lunches, the intellectual Bhodrolok has mutilated the film and many more such films about how wrong they represent the Bengali community. Over a plate of fish fry, or while chomping on a hot <em>peyaji</em><em>&nbsp;</em>(onion fritters)- the Bengali discussed and argued and debated about how <em>&#39;Panjabis</em>&#39; are taking over art.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Did we outrage when Jackie Shroff made for a hideous Chuni Babu? Did we outrage when SRK copied Dilip Kumar blindly as <em>Devdas</em>? Did we outrage when Paro&#39;s meager house was transformed into a palace by Bhansali? Or when he made a prostitute and a zamindar&#39;s wife dance together? No.</p>

<p>A Bengali would rather discuss the shortcomings of the film, give reference to Ray and Ghatak while sipping tea at the local tea stall. He would rather go on a monologue about how Tagore&#39;s Charulata was the best literary adaptation on the big screen. And how Bhansali has always taken copious amount of liberty when he has made films. &quot;Remember <em>Devdas</em>?&quot; he would point out.</p>

<p>But for a Bengali, the outrage would only be limited to that- at the local tea stall, or inside the living room of his home.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For years, Bengalis have had the priorities quite right. They wouldn&#39;t compromise on things that easily and take to streets to protest about a film. This is the community that likes to shut shops every afternoon for an hour-long siesta. This is the community which lets its Chief Minister personally micromanage crowd at the Eden during the KKR&#39;s victory celebrations. So outraging over a piece of art is out of the question.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The only time a Bengali has ever gotten worked up is when the neighbouring state has tried to claim our beloved Roshogolla as their own. No, can&#39;t do mister. Roshogolla is ours. We will take you to court for it and win the case even.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A Bengali would also outrage if his favourite team-Mohun Bagan or East Bengal- does not win the match. But those outbursts are justified. At least we don&#39;t make public death threats, no?</p>

<p>As the saga around Padmavati&#39;s release continues to grow- I, a Bengali, will ask everyone to breathe and take it easy. Take a leaf out of our community. Channelise your anger for the right things- Food, Football, Mamata, GST, Lack Of Jobs etc- but not on cinema. Because you see, art is perceived differently by different people. What you like and think as impactful, may not be liked by the other person. And a mere film on a supposed fictitious Queen will not change the essence of your culture or roots.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A third-party committee reported to Hitachi Kokusai&#39;s board of directors that it no longer supported the terms of the planned transaction which could be disadvantageous to minority shareholders of Hitachi Kokusai.</p>

<p>HKE Holdings, a KKR vehicle, &quot;has decided not to commence the tender offer in early August 2017 as previously scheduled,&quot; Hitachi said in a statement.</p>

<p>&quot;Hitachi will continue discussing matters, including its plans regarding the tender offer, whether to conduct the tender offer and its possible timing&quot; with Hitachi Kokusai, KKR and other parties, it said.&nbsp;</p>
