<p>Fact is, the channel is "extremely concerned" about its image after Pandya's misogyny was outed. And if sources are to be believed, axing the show has also been contemplated. But we now hear there would be no such grave ramifications, only an apology on the show for the careless and insensitive man-talk.</p>

<p>But a more far-reaching repercussion awaits the show as the guests would have to watch their mouth. And if they shoot it off nevertheless, Karan Johar would have to ensure the smut sleaze and innuendos are kept out of range.</p>

<p>Fact is, the show's underlining mood of sexiness was simmering to a boil for some time now. Both the men and the women celebrities were being asked what would be termed as improper questions and it was considered okay since, "Karan is like that only," as one of his indulgent female star guests told me.</p>

<p>Crossing the line comes naturally on "Koffee With Karan". It comes with the territory. The show is an extension of Karan Johar's personality. Everyone loves Karan, even if he is a little leery. No one minds if he asks what would be considered improper in other circumstances. He is a part of the super-privileged elite of Bollywood who have access to everyone who counts. And that makes him more powerful than almost anyone else in Bollywood.</p>

<p>Karan's own love life is zilch. But he is a love guru to many of the biggest actors and actresses. Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor are some of the stars who lean on Karan for heart-related advice. Karan has solved more love tangles than Mike Myers in Love Guru.</p>

<p>I once asked him about his status as Bollywood's resident love consultant and said, "I don't have a love life of my own. So I invest all my unused energy in others' love life."</p>

<p>This was long before the twin towers of his existence. His children, Roohi and Yash, have given him a reason to come home quickly after work. And Karan, who made sure he makes his presence felt at every happening-do in Mumbai, is no longer that wild a party animal. He would rather have <em>dudhoo</em> with his babies than Koffee with the stars.&nbsp;</p>

A day before the film's release, the actor got an airplane full of stars saying out loud the powerful trending lines from the film 'Uri'.</p>

<p>Pandya, whose remarks <a href="http://www.wionews.com/sports/kl-rahul-hardik-pandya-say-kohli-better-batsman-than-sachin-tendulkar-twitterati-tear-them-apart-188672">on 'Koffee with Karan' was criticised</a> as sexist, apologised for his remarks, saying he got "carried away by the nature" of the show. Rahul, on the other hand, has not yet responded to the criticism.</p>

<p>"We have sent showcause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation," chairman of the committee of administrators that runs the BCCI, Vinod Rai, said.</p>

<p>The 25-year-old all-rounder and Rahul appeared on the celebrity chat show, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, together.</p>

<p>Taking to Twitter, Pandya posted, "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way.</p>

<p>"Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect."</p>

<p>When asked why he didn't ask women their name in a club, Pandya responded by saying, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move."</p>

<p>Criticism started coming Pandya's way soon after and it is learnt that he was ticked off by the BCCI top brass.</p>

<p>According to a source, his comments were deemed "crass and cringe worthy" and might have a bearing on whether Indian cricketers appear on "such non-cricket shows" after this.</p>

<p>"It will be considered whether players should even be allowed to appear on such shows which have got nothing to do with cricket," a BCCI source said.</p>

<p>Pandya is currently with the Indian team in Australia where it recently recorded a historic maiden Test series win.</p>

<p>Pandya had joined the team before the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne after recovering from a back injury which he had suffered during the Asia Cup in UAE last year.</p>

<p>A delegation of Bollywood producers and actors such as Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a one-day visit to Maharashtra, at Raj Bhavan here to discuss the issues being faced by the Indian film industry.<br />

The delegation also included prominent film producers such as Ritesh Sidhwani, Siddharth Roy Kapur, the president of the Film Producers Guild, Rakesh Roshan, Ronnie Screwvala, Vijay Singh - CEO - Fox Star Studios and Prasoon Joshi, the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) along with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.&nbsp;<br />

The team from the film fraternity gave an overview of the vast growth potential of the media and entertainment industry. They also pitched for lower and uniform rates of GST for the entertainment industry in India, a statement issued by PIB said.<br />

The Prime Minister said that the Indian entertainment industry enjoys immense popularity across the world. It is one of the key elements of India's rising soft power status, globally, he added.<br />

He assured the delegation that the Union Government is supportive of the media and entertainment industry; and would consider the suggestions positively.<br />

In a tweet later, Modi said, "Had an extensive and fruitful interaction with a delegation from the film and entertainment industry. The delegation spoke about the studies being made by the film and entertainment industry, and gave valuable inputs relating to GST for their sector."</p>

<p>In his autobiography 'The Unsuitable Boy' Karan Johar had admitted that he regretted letting Nikhil Advani direct 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. Johar served as the executive producer and the writer of the film which till date is remembered for its evergreen, soulful music and relatable humour. Set in New York, the film was a story of an Indian family whose riddled with several problems until a friendly neighbour enters their lives and changes their perspective on things.&nbsp;</p>

<p>- Karan Johar, who wrote the film, had initially titled the film as 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' but later it changed to 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. The title was derived from the song ' Aisa Milan Kal Ho Naa Ho' from the 1997 film 'Hameshaa' that starred Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. Johar subsequently did make a film with the title 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and incidentally, it featured Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan along with the Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan.&nbsp;</p>

Kapoor had reportedly asked for a big amount which Johar was not willing to pay. Preity Zinta subsequently played the role.&nbsp;</p>

<p>- Vogue India's fashion editor and popular celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania played Saif and Preity's classmate in MBA school.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore met up with filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Akshay Kumar at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Tuesday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During an impromptu Koffee With Karan session with Karan and Akshay, Rajyavardhan was questioned whether he would like a biopic made on his life and which actor would best suit him. This happened at the opening ceremony of the film festival. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Quick to think on his feet, Rajyavardhan replied: "I don't know about the actor, but I would certainly like to have Karan Johar as the director of the film.”</p>

<p>Karan asked Akshay the same thing, to which he replied with “Ranveer Singh” after an audience member promoted the young star's name.</p>

<p>When Johar asked the minister about winning awards, he said it reflected the adulation and the love of the people for him.</p>

<p>Akshay Kumar's film ‘Gold’, directed by Reema Kagti, is scheduled to have open-air screenings at IFFI.</p>

<p>The festival will be held till November 28 in Goa. It will give a hat-tip to the Khelo India initiative by recognising the contribution of Indian sportspersons. This section features a total of six Indian films that are based on the genre of sports biopics.</p>
