"The government has taken note of this, and we are deeply engaged with X on this issue. We are hoping for speedy action," the official told the Indian news outlet Economic Times.&nbsp;
The ministry is&nbsp; considering whether X and its AI chatbot Grok have violated the IT Intermediary Rules 2021, which could render them liable for legal action.

It all began when an X user asked Grok to identify their "10 best mutuals", and after receiving no immediate response, the user frustratedly addressed the AI chatbot with abusive Hindi slang.&nbsp;
In response, Grok replied, "Oi bhos*****a, chill kar", and further answered the user's question.&nbsp;

Philippines hails Brahmos missile acquisition as defence breakthrough

Enrique Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines has termed the acquisition of Brahmos missile system as a major development in defence cooperation with India. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal, he said, 'export of Brahmos to the Philippines part of our policies of modernizing our defence compatibility, not aimed at particular any 3rd country. It's a major development in Philippines-India Defence cooperation"

In January 2022, India and the Philippines signed a $375 million agreement for the supply of three batteries of the shore-based anti-ship variant of the BrahMos missile system. This marked India's first export of the BrahMos missile, a supersonic cruise missile developed jointly by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyenia. 

Secretary Manalo emphasized on expanding maritime cooperation. India has offered facilities to the Philippines for ship repair as well. He thanked India for assistance to Philippines seafarers in the western Indian Ocean.

In the broad-based interview, he also spoke on China tension, Ukraine, trade, etc.

Philippines Army Chief has termed China as a bully, pointing the situation in South China Sea. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal,  Romeo Saturnino Brawner Jr., Philippine Army general, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces said,'We are at the forefront of bully tactic by China...it's a great concerns, existential problem'.

China-Philippines ties are strained by South China Sea disputes, with the Philippines. Despite this, economic and cultural connections persist amid ongoing tensions.

The Army Chief lauded the 'very  happy with relationship, particularly military to military'. Asked on procurement of Brahmos from India, he said, 'hopefully we can look into more platforms, may be fighter aircraft, ships"

Former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed has said that the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement is not beneficial for the Maldives Economy. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal he said that the operationalization of FTA is impacting Maldives govt revenue. 

The Maldives-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in December 2017 during the administration of former Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen, it marked the Maldives' first FTA with any country. The FTA has been effective since January 2025. India, a traditional partner, expressed concerns in early 2025, warning that the FTA could affect Maldives’ economic health and influence Indian policies in the region.

Estonia's Foreign Secretary, Jonatan Vseviov has said that India can be a powerful voice, in response to Delhi's role when it comes to Russia Ukraine war. We want India to use to powerful voice...India can be strong voice in side of UN charter, territorial integrity'. The comment come amid talks on a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Asked about ties, he said relationship hold, 'great potential'.India opened its embassy in Tallinn in December 2021, while Estonia established its embassy in New Delhi in February 2012, signalling commitment to deepening ties. Economically, trade between India and Estonia remains modest but shows potential. In 2007, bilateral trade was valued at €30.8 million, with India s Estonia’s 34th largest import partner and 37th largest export partner.

Signalling a clear intent to have cooperation with India on Semiconductors, Malaysia's Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong has said that, 'Malaysian companies can work with Indian companies, with foreign companies in India in a trilateral way". 

Malaysia’s semiconductor industry is mature, with major global players like Intel, Infineon, and Broadcom operating facilities there, particularly in hubs like Penang and Kulim. The country is now pushing to move up the value chain into areas like integrated circuit (IC) design and advanced packaging, as outlined in its National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS). 

India, meanwhile, has been aggressively pursuing its semiconductor goals, with initiatives like the $10 billion India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) aimed at attracting investment and fostering domestic manufacturing.

Estonia says India is a powerful voice amid Ukraine war

UK MP Lord Karan Bilimoria has called for an early conclusion of India-UK FTA. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal, he said, 'We need to do this deal & 'this FTA will bring trade to $100 bn. Let's do the deal".

Lord Karan Bilimoria is a member of the House of Lords, the upper chamber of the UK Parliament. Born on November 26, 1961, in Hyderabad, India, Karan Faridoon Bilimoria is a British-Indian businessman and of Zoroastrian Parsi descent. 

He termed the attack on the Indian High Commission by Khalistani extremists as 'completely unacceptable'. The Khalistani extremists were involved in the attack on the Indian High Commission in 2024. 

He also lauded the role of the 2 million-strong Indian diaspora in the UK.

Thailand foreign minister Maris Sangiampongsa has batted for strong ties with India. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal he said, 'we have a long a history together. India is strong and strategic partner of Thailand'. He pointed  food security, energy security, Human security as areas of cooperation between the 2 countries. The minister recalled how India last year sent Buddha relics to Thailand. He said,'I would like to express my appreciation to India, to exhibit relics of Lord Buddha to Thailand. Very good opportunity to show the strong link'. He minister also spoke about fake Job scam, Myanmar, & upcoming Bimstec summit.

India's External Affairs Ministry on Tuesday (March 18) slammed Pakistan over its remarks about Jammu and Kashmir, saying that Pakistan&rsquo;s active sponsorship of cross-border terrorism is the biggest roadblock to peace and security.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Pakistan should vacate Indian territory under its illegal and forcible occupation.&nbsp;
"We note that Pakistan has once again made some comments about the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The world knows that the real issue is Pakistan&rsquo;s active promotion and sponsorship of cross-border terrorism. In fact, this is the biggest roadblock to peace and security in the region," Jaiswal said while responding to the media queries on the comments made by Pakistan.&nbsp;

PM Modi said that "every attempt to foster peace with Pakistan was met with hostility and betrayal&rdquo; and that he hoped that &ldquo;wisdom would prevail on the leadership in Islamabad to improve bilateral ties.&rdquo;

When asked about the conflict between the two nations and whether he saw a path to peace and friendship, PM Modi answered by recalling the painful and bloody partition of India in 1947. He said that while India accepted the partition, Pakistan did not choose to peacefully coexist.&nbsp;
He further said Pakistan is &ldquo;an epicenter of turmoil, not just for India, but for the world&rdquo;.
After PM Modi's remarks, the Pakistan Foreign Office blasted them, calling the comments "misleading and one-sided".&nbsp;

They further alleged that India was involved in fomenting trouble on Pakistani soil and accused India of &ldquo;orchestrating targeted assassinations, subversion, and terrorism in foreign territories.&rdquo;
