<p>In a post on X on Sunday (Oct 15), the IDF said that no military activity would occur from 10 am&nbsp;to 1 pm (local time) and asked 1.1 million people living in Northern Gaza to use the time to evacuate.</p>

<p>"Residents of Gaza City and northern Gaza, in the past days, we've urged you to relocate to the southern area for your safety. We want to inform you that the IDF will not carry out any operations along this route from 10 pm to 1 pm," the Israeli military said.</p>

<p>"During this window, please take the opportunity to move southward from northern Gaza," it said.</p>

<p>The announcement comes a day after Israel pummelled northern Gaza with fresh air strikes on Saturday.</p>

<p>Israel had already blocked northern Gaza, cutting off food, water, electricity, medical supplies and other essentials including electricity.</p>

'Operation Ajay' fourth flight brings 274 Indians safely home from war-torn Israel

<p>Amid the chaos of the recent Hamas attack in southern Israel, a man from Kibbutz Mefalsim made a daring escape from over a dozen armed Hamas operatives in his Tesla Model 3 Performance. Known as "C" and a member of the settlement's emergency squad, his Tesla played a critical role in his harrowing escape.</p>

<p>As the Hamas group launched a barrage of rockets from Gaza, C received a call to head to the assembly point. Despite his Apple Watch being disabled by shrapnel, he immediately set out in his Tesla.</p>

<p>The terrorists, armed with Kalashnikovs and a machine gun, recognised him from a distance and opened fire.</p>

<p>Unaware that it was an electric vehicle (EV), they aimed at the non-existent engine and later at the back, attempting to ignite a fuel tank that wasn't there. C's tires were also shot, but the Tesla's acceleration and dual-drive system allowed him to elude the attackers.</p>

<p>"I see a lot of tiredness, I see a lot of weakness among our partners, they would like to forget about the war but the war is still ongoing, full-scale," Marchenko said on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings in Marrakech.</p>

<p>He said Ukraine is making "twice the effort right now to convince our partners to provide us with support compared to the last annual meetings" in April.</p>

<p>Marchenko said "a geopolitical shift and internal political context in different countries" was dampening governments' appetite to support Ukraine, mentioning elections scheduled in the U.S. and the European Union next year.</p>

<p>Ukraine has earmarked additional tax receipts and funds to be raised from internal debt, but it will be dependent on outside help for the bulk of next year's spending requirements.</p>

<p>"We have some time to prepare discussions with private creditors," Marchenko said, declining to provide a timeframe on when formal talks with creditors may start.</p>

<p>"Our natural desire is to preserve access to the market," he added.</p>

<p>Marchenko said credit enhancement notes could be "one of the ways" to raise funds, but that how such guarantees would work depends on the future of Ukraine's growth, among other economic factors. This has not been a topic of discussion at the meetings in Marrakech, he said.</p>

<p>Ukraine's economy is set to grow 5% in 2024, Marchenko told the meetings earlier this week, and sufficient gas storage for the winter should buttress the economy from a potential rise in prices, he told Reuters.</p>

<p>One senior correspondent posted comments making fun of Israeli relatives of a grandmother who was abducted by Hamas. Another journalist tweeted that "Israel's prestige is crying in the corner."</p>

<p>Additionally, BBC Arabic has faced complaints about bias and inaccuracy in its output, particularly regarding its terminology in reference to towns within Israel's internationally recognised territory. The network has used terms like "settlements" and "settlers" for these areas and their residents, which some believe "whitewashes" the targeting of Jewish civilians.</p>

<p>A review by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis focused on the Arabic department of the BBC. It looked into the social media activity by six BBC journalists and one affiliated freelancer that suggested an anti-Israel bias.</p>

<p>Some of the journalists questioned the designation of Israeli non-combatants as civilians, despite evidence of indiscriminate attacks on women, children, and the elderly by Hamas. Some even suggested that young Israelis were essentially combatants.</p>
