<p>Dreaded Indian gangster Bishnoi is currently incarcerated in Ahmedabad on drug smuggling charges that are being probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Bishnoi is also an accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.</p>

<p>Acting on the email, the NIA promptly informed the Mumbai police about the threat, said a report in the Indian Express. They reportedly also shared the email's contents with relevant agencies responsible for the Prime Minister's security as well as the Gujarat Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Following the&nbsp;NIA alert, the Mumbai police have heightened security measures in light of the upcoming five World Cup cricket matches at the Wankhede stadium in the city. The sources also reportedly said that Mumbai Police is also actively working to trace the origin of the threatening email.</p>

Hindustan me sabkuch bikta hai to humne bhi kuch kharid liya hai kitna bhi sequre karlo humse nahi bacha paoge agar baat karni hai to is mail par hi bat karna (We will blow up Narendra Modi and the Narendra Modi stadium if the government does not give us Rs 500 crore and Lawrence Bishnoi. Everything sells in Hindustan, so we too have bought something. No matter how much you try to beef up security, you won’t be able to remain safe from us. As soon as the images circulated on social media platforms of the empty stadium, the netizens slammed the BCCI for its poor planning and ticketing administration, in the lead-up to the marquee event.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some called out BCCI for persisting with a venue that is difficult to fill due to its sheer size, while others said a venue like Wankhede or Eden Gardens would have been better, owing to their storied history.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The first C-295 medium tactical transport aircraft landed in Vadodara on Wednesday, days after it was handed over to the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the southern Spanish city of Seville.</p>

<p>The aircraft, which was flown by Group Captain PS Negi, would be formally inducted into the IAF at a ceremony that will be held in Hindon near Delhi on September 25.</p>

<p>The plane took off from Spain on September 15 from Seville and made three stopovers in Malta, Egypt and Bahrain before landing in Vadodara.</p>

<p>After receiving the delivery of the aircraft, IAF Chief Chaudhari termed it a major milestone for India and said that the induction of the aircraft would improve IAF’s tactical airlift capabilities.</p>

<p>The reactor at the power project started commercial operations on June 30 but has been operating at 90 per cent of its capacity till now. The officials have said that various commissioning activities were underway at KAPP 4, which had achieved 97.56 per cent progress by July.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The western Indian state of Gujarat has been lashed by heavy monsoon rains, triggering a flood-like situation in Junagarh and Navsari districts of the state. Dramatic visuals showed a flooded Ahmedabad airport with knee-deep water as passengers were asked to confirm their flights by airlines before arriving.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The pouring water managed to submerge the Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) office, as well as the pick-up and drop area at the domestic airport. ATC is responsible for all flight movements before touchdown and after departure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Due to heavy rains and water logging around the airport, we request all passengers to check with their respective airlines before starting their journey. Passengers are also advised to avoid parking at the airport facility." Ahmedabad Airport shared the information on its official Twitter page.</p>

<p>Since the onset of the rainy season, Delhi has been struggling with waterlogging and flooding after heavy rain in the upper catchment areas of Yamuna led to the river swelling to record levels. On July 13, the water level was at 208.66 metres, surpassing the&nbsp;previous record of 207.49 metres set in September 1978.</p>
