Essam El-Hadary, an Egyptian goalkeeper, is the oldest player in the men's FIFA World Cup. Peter Shilton, who has played for England the most times, is ranked sixth. All football players aspire to play for as long as they can, but only a select handful are able to maintain their level of fitness. Even some of them improve with time. Even though some of this generation's top players, like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, are competing in their final World Cup in Qatar, they are by no means the oldest players to have competed in football's biggest tournament. Checkout the list of oldest footballers to play at the FIFA World Cup, a list which is heavily dominated by goalkeepers.&nbsp;

<h2>Essam El-Hadary, 45 years and 161 days</h2>

Essam El-Hadary made his FIFA World Cup debut against Saudi Arabia in 2018 at the age of 45 years and 161 days, 22 years after making his Egypt debut. Prior to their encounter against Saudi Arabia, the Pharaohs had lost to Uruguay and Egypt in their group games. In the first half, Egypt would have lost to Saudi Arabia if not for El-Hadary's outstanding save off Fahad Al-Muwallad's penalty kick. Egypt was in trouble against the Saudis. On that particular day, Essam El-Hadary not only made history as the oldest player to ever compete at the FIFA World Cup, but he also made history as the oldest debutant and the first African goalkeeper to save a penalty shot.&nbsp;

<h2>Faryd Mondragon, 43 years, 3 days</h2>

When Faryd Mondragon of Colombia entered the field for Colombia's last group match against Japan in 2014, he was 43 years and three days old, making him the oldest player to compete at the FIFA World Cup prior to Essam El-Hadary in 2018. However, Faryd Mondragon still owns a few records. Prior to competing in 2014, Faryd Mondragon participated in the 1998 World Cup for Colombia. The gap between two World Cup games was the longest ever for a player. The Colombian, who was on the bench during Colombia's 2-1 quarterfinal loss to Brazil in 2014, is also the oldest player left in the FIFA World Cup playoffs. Soon after Colombia was eliminated, Mondragon made his retirement announcement.

<h2>Roger Milla, 42 years, 39 days</h2>

At 42 years and 39 days old, Roger Milla of Cameroon ranks third among the oldest football players to compete in the FIFA World Cup. He is the only striker to appear in the top five, though. In a 6-1 thrashing by Russia in the 1994 group stage, Milla scored Cameroon's lone goal. Oleg Salenko of Russia set the record for the most goals scored by a single player in a FIFA World Cup game with five goals in the same game. Over the course of 77 games and a more than 20-year career, Roger Milla scored 43 goals.

<h2>Pat Jennings, 41 years</h2>

When he was onto the pitch in the 1986 World Cup group stage encounter against powerful Brazil, Northern Ireland goalkeeper Pat Jennings was 41 years old. As was to be anticipated, the Brazilian team celebrated by defeating the birthday boy 3-0 and scoring three goals in the process. After participating in 119 games for his nation between 1964 and 1986, Pat Jennings announced his retirement the same year.

<h2>Peter Shilton, 40 years, 292 days</h2>

England goalkeeper Peter Shilton made history in 1990 by becoming the oldest player to play in a World Cup match. Shilton is best known for being the goalkeeper against whom legendary Maradona scored the "Hand of God" goal in the 1986 World Cup final. When Peter Shilton led England against Italy in the third-place play-off in 1990, England lost 2-1. Shilton was 40 years and 292 days old. After the World Cup, Shilton announced his retirement, but not before earning 125 caps for England's men from 1970 to 1990.

Nobody believes Qatar or Senegal will advance to the knockout stages. Their fans, on the other hand, will want to see their team advance from a group that includes Ecuador and the Netherlands as favourites to advance to the next round. A win in this match will keep Qatar and Senegal's dream alive. If the Ecuador vs. Netherlands match ends in a draw, neither team will qualify.

<h2>Qatar's form</h2>

Qatar failed miserably in their match against Ecuador, falling 2-0 to the South American team. Manager Felix Sanchez described his team as "nervous." The Maroons became the first World Cup host nation to lose their first game. They are also the first hosts since the United States in 1994 not to have a shot on goal in a championship match. Qatar cannot afford to succumb to pressure because only a victory will keep their hopes alive.

<h2>Senegal's form</h2>

Senegal appears to be in far better shape than their Asian opponents going into this crucial match. Even though the African team ultimately lost 2-0, they made life difficult for the Dutch. They must be concerned, however, because Abdou Diallo and Cheikhou Kouyate were injured in that game and may not be able to play in this one.

Amid strict rules and regulations by the Qatari authorities and FIFA around rainbow-related accessories, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) confirmed the fans will be allowed to carry Rainbow bucket hats and flags during their team's match&nbsp;against Iran at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on Friday. The hats that represent the ‘Rainbow Wall’ – the supporters’ group for Wales’ fans who are also members of the LGBTQ community – were created in partnership with the FAW.

In Qatar, a conservative Muslim country where same-sex relationships are illegal, this step seems to be a welcoming one.

Meanwhile, a&nbsp;day after their World Cup opener against the USA that ended in a 1-1 draw, the FAW did say it would contact FIFA after their fans were asked to remove the bucket hats before entering the stadium.

Brazilian striker&nbsp;Neymar&nbsp;should be fine to continue in the World Cup despite limping off with a swollen ankle during his team's 2-0 victory over Serbia on Thursday (November 24), coach Tite said. "You can be certain&nbsp;Neymar&nbsp;is going to play at the Cup. I am absolutely certain of this," Tite told reporters, confessing that he was initially unaware of his striker's injury. "I didn't see&nbsp;Neymar&nbsp;was hurt. And he had the capacity to overcome this, he even tricked me."

Team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said Brazil would wait 24-48 hours before assessing&nbsp;Neymar's injury. The Paris St Germain striker, the most expensive player in the world following his record 222 million-euro ($231 million) transfer from Barcelona, played a pivotal role in Brazil's win in their first game in Group G in Qatar.

He wriggled into the box to pass to Vinicius Jr. to set up Richarlison for Brazil's opening goal in the second half. Later, however, he appeared to be in tears as he left the pitch with a visibly swollen ankle. That was reminiscent of the back injury which put&nbsp;Neymar&nbsp;out of the World Cup on home soil in 2014.

Match-winner Richarlison scored a spectacular swiveling overhead volley for Brazil's second goal. "As our professor, Tite has said 'you are smelling goals'!" he told reporters. Serbian coach, Dragan Stojkovic, said team was on the same level as Brazil for the first 45 minutes. "What was for us surprising in the second half was we literally fell physically and we were no longer a team," he explained.

Qatar national football team will once again be in action on Friday (November 25) as the home side will play their second game in the FIFA World Cup 2022 where they lock horns with Senegal. The home fans will be backing their national players and hope for their team to get off the mark with full points in the ongoing edition in the Middle East.&nbsp;

Qatar began their campaign on the opening day with a 0-2 loss at the hands of Ecuador. On the other hand, the African team also were defeated by the same margin versus the Netherlands in their tournament opener. Thus, the match is extremely crucial for both sides if they wish to progress ahead into the mega event.&nbsp;

For the home side, it will be a tough ask to beat Senegal as the latter defended well and ensured a 0-0 scoreline versus the Dutch line-up before conceding two goals in the last few minutes of the regulation time. Meanwhile, Qataris had to struggle for ball possession in their first encounter. Hence, Senegal will be confident of upsetting the hosts and getting a win under their belt.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Broadcast TV and OTT-Live Streaming: When and where to watch Qatar vs Senegal?

Portugal opened their campaign in the FIFA World Cup 2022, in Qatar, on Thursday evening (November 24). Cristiano Ronaldo was in action on the fifth day of the mega event and saw his side edge past a competitive Ghana line-up, 3-2, to pick up full points from their Group H encounter. The match had plenty of ebbs and flows before the former Euro champions ended on top.&nbsp;

In the game, Ronaldo entered an elite list of footballers to have featured in as many as five separate World Cups. Moreover, he scored in the 65th minute, to&nbsp;create&nbsp;history by becoming the first-ever player in FIFA WC&nbsp; to score in five editions of the mega event. From Ghana, Andre Ayew and Osman Bukari struck once each but the latter made heads turn by replicating Ronaldo's iconic goal celebration. In addition, Ronaldo reacted to Bukari's celebration. It has been exultantly re-tweeting images from their 2-0 win at the Al Bayt stadium.

Much to the amusement of many watching around the world,&nbsp;Ecuador&nbsp;fans also chanted "We want beer!" in reference to a controversial stadium ban on alcohol consumption at the insistence of the conservative Muslim host nation. Qatar World Cup: FIFA opens proceedings against Mexican FA, Ecuador fans over controversial chants

Uruguay faltered in their World Cup opener against a lively and energetic South Korea after they were held to a 0-0 draw in Group H on Thursday in a contest where both teams struggled to find the clinical edge.

Clear-cut chances were rare for either side at the Education City Stadium and although Uruguay created more goalscoring opportunities, neither team were able to register a shot on target.

Uruguay captain Diego Godin was denied by the woodwork while South Korea forward Hwang Ui-jo blasted over the bar with the goal at his mercy, leaving both teams to rue missed chances before group rivals Portugal and Ghana meet later on in the day.

Uruguay's first sight of goal came in the 19th minute through Federico Valverde, who connected with Jose Maria Gimenez's pass and took a touch before firing a half-volley towards goal, but his ambitious attempt went just over the bar.

The South Americans had begun to find their footing when South Korea, having been patient so far, disrupted their rhythm and launched a counter-attack from a Uruguay corner before the half-hour mark.

Son Heung-min picked up the ball on the left flank and cut inside, skipping past two Uruguay defenders before curling a right-footed effort towards goal, but left-back Mathias Olivera was able to clear it away.

South Korea should have taken the lead in the 34th minute when Moon-hwan Kim fizzed the ball into the penalty area and into the path of Hwang in front of goal, but the forward could not keep his composure and sent it over the crossbar.

The closest Uruguay came to scoring in the first half was just before the break, when centre back Godin rose highest to power a header from Valverde's corner but it bounced off the left post and away from goal.

Gimenez made a crucial tackle to deny Son five minutes after the restart after a flowing move from South Korea, while Jung Woo-young blocked midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur's powerful strike at the other end.

Uruguay saw more of the ball but found few chances to break through the South Korean defence until the closing stages, when Valverde unleashed a thunderbolt in the final minute of regulation time that struck the top of the post.

FIFA World Cup 2022: Struggling Uruguay held by South Korea in goalless stalemate

Michy Batshuayi's first-half goal proved enough for a below-par Belgium to squeeze to a 1-0 win over a Canada side playing their first World Cup match for 36 years on Wednesday.

Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois saved Alphonso Davies' early penalty and Batshuayi opened the scoring against the run of play in the 44th minute.

John Herdman's Canada, roared on by their vocal support, also had another strong penalty appeal turned down and dominated the second half to no avail.

Belgium were without injured record goalscorer Romelu Lukaku and struggled throughout with the pace of Canada's forwards.

But the 2018 semi-finalists clung on to move top of what could prove a hotly-contested Group F after Croatia and Morocco's goalless draw earlier on Wednesday.

"Was it technically our 'worst game', yes, when you measure the performance," admitted Belgium coach Roberto Martinez. "Was it the 'worst game', no, because we won.

"We defended well and we needed our goalkeeper."

Canada will head into their game against Croatia on Sunday still full of confidence after more than matching the team ranked second in the world, who next face Morocco.

"They showed tonight that they do belong here. It's been a long time since we've been back," said Herdman, the first coach to lead teams at women's and men's World Cups.

"I'm sure they (the fans) walked away proud and feeling like we are a football nation.

"I think this group stage is wide open now after the Croatia-Morocco result."

The North Americans, matching Belgium in formation by playing three at the back, made a bright start and Jonathan David's low effort was deflected wide.

From the resulting corner, Tajon Buchanan's strike was blocked by Yannick Carrasco with his arm and a penalty was awarded after a VAR check in the 11th minute.

But Davies produced a weak effort which was saved low to his right by Courtois, before David lashed the rebound over the crossbar.

Belgium's ageing defence were struggling with the pace of the Canada attackers and Junior Hoilett got in behind before firing a shot wide.

The underdogs kept coming, as Courtois palmed away right wing-back Alistair Johnston's fierce drive and David headed off target.

VAR controversy

Canada had a big penalty appeal turned down despite a VAR review when Axel Witsel was outpaced by Richie Laryea inside the area and then tripped his opponent.

Belgium grabbed the lead out of nothing when a simple long ball over the top from Toby Alderweireld found the run of Batshuayi who hammered home left-footed.

There was still time for Canada to create, and waste, another glorious opportunity before the break, as Laryea's low cross was fired over on the slide by Buchanan from six yards out.

Martinez made a double substitution at half-time to try and stem the tide, with Thomas Meunier replacing Carrasco and Everton youngster Amadou Onana coming into the midfield.

Canada could have levelled just minutes after the restart, though, as David headed wide from Stephen Eustaquio's delicious cross after the Porto midfielder had nutmegged Kevin De Bruyne.

Herdman's men continued to flood forward, but could not find the finishing touch required, with Buchanan miskicking horribly from the edge of the box.

The more men Canada committed, the more dangerous Belgium looked on the break and Laryea made a wonderful last-ditch tackle to deny Batshuayi a second goal.

Substitute Cyle Larin, the top scorer in CONCACAF qualifying for the tournament, headed too close to Courtois in a frantic finale.

De Bruyne could have put the game to bed but blazed into the crowd, while Larin sent another header spinning over Courtois' bar as Belgium fell over the line.

FIFA World Cup 2022 | Batshuayi fires Belgium to World Cup win over Canada

Ever since the Qatar World Cup kicked off on Sunday (November 20), football fans across the globe have been eagerly waiting to see Cristiano Ronaldo on the field. On Thursday evening (November 24), Ronaldo will be in action as Portugal will open their campaign in the 32-nation tournament in the Middle East. Portugal will play Ghana in a Group H encounter. Anything less than a win won't be impressive for the Portuguese line-up as they are placed in a tricky group which also comprises Uruguay and South Korea.&nbsp;

Portugal are coming into the mega event on the back of a disappointing run in Euro 2020, where they bowed out in the Round of 16 with a defeat at the hands of Belgium, and ended their campaign in the UEFA Nations League after a 1-0 loss versus Spain. In the Nations League, they managed three wins, a draw and two defeats. Against their opposition in their Qatar 2022 opener, Portugal have faced them only once before and lost 1-2. The incident took place in the 2014 FIFA WC, hence, Ronaldo &amp; Co. won't be taking Ghana lightly by any means. In addition, the Portugal captain will join arch-rival Lionel Messi in an elite list when he steps on to the field; becoming one of the very few players to have appeared in five separate World Cups.&nbsp;Thus, Portugal will like to start off with a bang in Ronaldo's special encounter. Two heavyweights such as Argentina and Germany have already lost their opening ties, hence, the former Euro champions will be on their toes for a fitting start.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Broadcast TV and OTT-Live Streaming: When and where to watch Portugal vs Ghana?

Switzerland edged Cameroon 1-0 courtesy of a goal against the run of play by apologetic Breel Embolo versus the country of his birth for an opening win in World Cup Group G at the Al Janoub Stadium on Thursday.

Embolo, born in Yaounde but raised in Basel, struck three minutes after the restart from a Xherdan Shaqiri cut-back to put them top of the section.

The 25-year-old refused to celebrate the goal on his 60th international appearance, lifting his hands in the air and frowning as the small group of Swiss fans cheered wildly at Al Janoub Stadium.

Serbia play Brazil in the other group match later on Thursday. Swiss coach Murat Yakin praised his team's overall display.

"This was a mature performance with a lot of solidarity from the entire team," he said.

The Switzerland goal came after Cameroon had dominated the first half, missing several good chances to take the lead.

The Indomitable Lions, who eliminated Algeria in a playoff to qualify for the tournament, had outplayed the Swiss in the first 45 minutes with quick combinations, speed and power as their opponents remained toothless up front.

They carved out their first chance after 10 minutes with Bryan Mbeumo testing goalkeeper Yann Sommer before Karl Toko Ekambi sent his rebound over the bar. The Swiss were in trouble again a little later with in-form forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting snatching the ball from an opponent to charge into the box only for Sommer to block his effort.

In search of their first win at a World Cup in 20 years, Cameroon were bolder, taking on their opponents in one-on-one situations, while the Swiss rarely managed to get into the African side's box.

Switzerland, who reached the last 16 in the two previous World Cups, struck at the start of the second half with veteran Shaqiri cutting into the area and Embolo tapping in what proved to be the winner.

An almost identical move just past the hour almost saw the Swiss score again but Ruben Vargas's shot was pushed wide by keeper Andre Onana to keep his team in the game. Cameron failed to replicate their first-half performance, failing to seriously threaten Sommer, and were lucky not to concede another in stoppage time through Haris Seferovic.

"The next match is decisive for us. We have to create opportunities. But we remain with our heads held high and know that anything is possible," Cameroon coach Rigobert Song said.

The Swiss next play Brazil on Monday with Cameroon taking on Serbia.

Embolo scores as Switzerland secure narrow 1-0 win over Cameroon in FIFA World Cup 2022

Switzerland forward Breel Embolo scored the winner for his side to help them beat Cameroon and get off to a winning start in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022. Embolo scored his first goal in a World Cup for Switzerland at the Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar but refused to celebrate as it came against Cameroon.

Switzerland started the game on a confident note and were clearly the better side in the first few minutes of the game. However, Cameroon managed to keep the Swiss attackers at bay with some solid defence. Embolo was kept quiet for the majority of the first half but his moment arrived just minutes after the break.

The Swiss striker opened the scoring for his team in the 48th minute with a calm tap-in from six yards out on a cross from his teammate Xherdan Shaqiri. Xhaka started the attack for Switzerland from the midfield as he laid it down to Shaqiri on the right. Shaqiri produced a perfect cross for Embolo to tap it home from a close distance to give Switzerland a much-needed lead.

Germany&nbsp;coach Hansi Flick expressed his disappointment with FIFA's decision to ban players from wearing a "OneLove" armband at the World Cup. Speaking to media on Tuesday (November 22), the day before&nbsp;Germany&nbsp;take on Japan, Flick said his team had wanted to make the statement to promote LGBT rights, but FIFA's short-notice decision to ban the armbands before England took on Iran on Monday (November 21) meant there was no time to coordinate with the other countries.

The&nbsp;federations of England, Wales, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland,&nbsp;Germany&nbsp;and Denmark had said on Monday they had been put under pressure by FIFA, who had threatened to issue yellow cards to any player wearing the multi-coloured armband. "The team is very unhappy and shocked that something like this is not allowed because it is just a sign for human rights and diversity and they are also the values that we as a team live and represent."Flick told a news conference.

Saudi Arabia has long sought a place for itself on the global sports landscape. The wait ended Tuesday when the kingdom’s FIFA World Cup team registered an unexpected 2-1 victory over Lionel Messi’s Argentina. This was a remarkable feat as the country has never won the first match in any FIFA World Cup, facing an 8-0 defeat by Germany in 2002 and a 5-0 loss to Russia in 2018. By defeating Argentina, Saudi players broke their 36-match winning streak in a historic upset.&nbsp;To mark this historic World Cup victory, the Kingdom’s authorities have announced a public holiday on Wednesday, 23th November, 2022. This means that all private and public employees, including all students at any educational stage, will get a holiday today in Saudi Arabia.

<h2>Public Holiday announced in Saudi Arabia</h2>

Saudi Arabia’s football game against Argentina was celebrated as a festival in the Gulf nation. Universities gave the afternoon off to students to let them watch the live broadcast. City streets were almost abandoned. When Saudi Arabia emerged victorious, authorities took no time in announcing Wednesday as a public holiday.

After the final whistle, celebrations erupted in spontaneous dance circles throughout the capital Riyadh. Males and females were seen hanging out together in cafes and restaurants to have fun, a new and rare trend emerging in the Islamic nation under reformist Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

By defeating Argentina, Saudi players broke their 36-match winning streak in a historic upset. To mark this historic World Cup victory, the Kingdom’s authorities have announced a public holiday on Wednesday, 23th November, 2022. This means that all private and public employees, including all students at any educational stage, will get a holiday today in Saudi Arabia. Public Holiday announced in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia’s football game against Argentina was celebrated as a festival in the Gulf nation. Universities gave the afternoon off to students to let them watch the live broadcast. City streets were almost abandoned. When Saudi Arabia emerged victorious, authorities took no time in announcing Wednesday as a public holiday. Public holiday announced in Saudi Arabia to mark the unexpected FIFA victory over Argentina

Rafael Nadal knows all about resilience in sport and the 22-time Grand Slam tennis champion said Lionel Messi's Argentina can shake off the disappointment of their stunning World Cup defeat by Saudi Arabia and have a deep run in Qatar.

"I'm not one for extremes, neither too much euphoria nor too much catastrophe," Spaniard Nadal, a big soccer fan who supports Real Madrid, said before his exhibition match against Norwegian Casper Ruud in Buenos Aires.

"The world hasn't changed... They simply lost a game and there are two to go. The least they deserve is confidence and respect.

"They come from being champions of America, from having one of the best winning streaks in history, so why lose confidence? I still think Argentina is a clear candidate to go far."

Nadal, who won two Grand Slams in an injury-hit 2022, said Saudi Arabia's victory was merely a reflection of just how evenly matched soccer has become.

The 35-year-old also paid tribute to Messi, who played for Real's arch-rivals Barcelona.

"Messi took things away from Real for years but in the end, as a sports lover, you appreciate someone so special," Nadal said. "In La Liga, we've been lucky enough to enjoy him in the best years of his sporting career.

"He has given us special moments in the world of sport, he's one of the top players in the history of football and sport".

Germany began well by&nbsp;keeping possession and ball control. They even scored the first goal of the match in the 33rd minute through Ilkay Gundogan’s penalty. However, things changed for good for Japan in the second half. Two late goals from Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano in the 75th and 83rd minute, respectively, gave Japan a commanding 2-1 lead against Germany.

Harris, who is a PWD contractor, revealed, "That’s when we came to know about the sale and pooled in money to buy the house."

It is to be noted that the group of ardent football fans are mostly supporting Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, and France. Qatar has reached out to India through diplomatic channels to make it clear that the organisers of the FIFA World Cup 2022 did not extend any official invitation to controversial religious personality Zakir Naik to attend the opening ceremony of the tournament, according to Hindustan Times. &nbsp;

In the past few days, there have been several media reports claiming that Naik was travelling to Qatar for the event and he will be delivering a speech on the occasion. However, the report claimed that the Qatari government has rubbished all such claims and called it “deliberate disinformation being spread by third countries to create a rift in India-Qatar bilateral relations”.

Naik is wanted by Indian authorities for alleged money laundering and inciting extremism from hate speeches. According to media reports, he did travel to Qatar from Malaysia, but he was not present at the opening ceremony and no further information was gained regarding his whereabouts.

India is currently working towards getting a Red Corner Notice against Naik from the Interpol and they have also sent an extradition request to Malaysia for his alleged role in the 2020 Delhi riots.

Hindustan Times also reported that the communication from Qatar came after the Indian government threatened to cancel the visit of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar to the World Cup opening ceremony. Dhankar did travel to the event and attended the ceremony from the VVIP box.

Ahead of the match, Canada's captain Atiba Hutchinson said on Tuesday (November 22), "I’ve already seen it sparking a lot of interest in younger players, 7, 8-year olds, some in my family, teammates, children. Just the interest that it’s brought to our country is really special to see. I’ve been with the national team a very long time and I never seen it get to this level.” Hutchinson added, "We want to put Canada on the map." Belgium have lost to the Netherlands and Egypt recently, hence, they will not like to take any team lightly at such an initial stage of the tournament. However, they have never lost three in a row since 2014. Will they maintain that record? Now the term is widely used.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Undoubtedly one of the finest players in the game's history is from Portugal. Two of Ronaldo's six children are raised by Rodriguez, although one of their newborn twins died in delivery in April 2022, as per media reports.

Sasha Attwood, 25

The model, whose career has taken off, inked a lucrative contract with cosmetics giant L'Oreal in 2022. While attending St. Peter's Roman Catholic Secondary School in Solihull together, Sasha and Jack had their first encounter.

The couple started dating in 2008 and had been together since since they first met in their hometown of Rosario, Sante Fe, Argentina, more than 20 years ago. Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro are their sons.

When Matthijs de Ligt, a 23-year-old soccer player, was acquired by the Bayern Munich squad, the model relocated to Germany. They met in 2018, and they are both from the Netherlands. The challenges Molenaar experiences with her body image have been well-documented. "I am not [happy] all the time and that's OK. I am human who is still learning not to set the bar too high. Footballers' GORGEOUS Wives and Girlfriends who will be cheering at Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022

The FIFA World Cup 2022 edition is underway and producing enthralling action for football fans across the globe. On Tuesday (November 22), i.e. the third day of the competition, Lionel Messi-led Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia, 1-2, in their opening clash whereas defending champions France went past Australia 4-1 in their first game in the ongoing edition. The action continues on Wednesday (November 23) with plenty of games in store. In the first game of the day, Morocco will face last edition's runners-up Croatia.

For Croatia to go all the way, they will need a strong start. While they did manage a second-spot finish in 2018 edition, Croatia isn't being considered as one of the top contenders. This might just work in their favour, just like it did in 2018 in Russia. They had a smooth qualification to the mega event and even topped the Nations League group, ahead of France, and, hence, will start as favourites.&nbsp;

“Definitely, what we’ve been through in 2018 in Russia is unforgettable and indelible in my mind. Others can continue speaking about it but we need to put it aside and focus on what’s ahead,” Modric told a news conference. “Many players at the 2018 World Cup in Russia are not here, we have new players, new quality young players with fresh blood and energy. This is a new tournament and we have to look at it that way," he added.

FIFA World Cup 2022, Morocco vs Croatia, Broadcast TV and OTT-Live Streaming Day 4: When and where to watch

Olivier Giroud became France's joint all-time top scorer when his double helped the holders start the defence of their World Cup title in style with a 4-1 comeback Group D win against Australia on Tuesday.

Giroud found the net before and after the break to take his tally to 51 goals, matching Thierry Henry's mark, either side of a Kylian Mbappe goal after Adrien Rabiot had levelled following Craig Goodwin's shock early opener.

Les Bleus are the first defending champions to win their opening match since Brazil in 2006, which has already put them in good position to advance from the group phase, something Italy in 2010, Spain in 2014 and Germany in 2018 failed to do.

France, who lost defender Lucas Hernandez to a knee injury, have three points and lead Tunisia and Denmark by two after they played out a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Didier Deschamps's France side, who started the tournament on the back of the disappointment of striker Karim Benzema being ruled out injured last Saturday, next face Denmark on Saturday.

It was not quite the start France were expecting at the Al Janoub stadium.

Goodwin smacked the ball into the roof of the net from Mathew Leckie's cross from the right, leaving Lucas Hernandez holding his right knee after being beaten to the ball after nine minutes.

Hernandez's brother Theo came on as a substitute and France continued to struggle to create space, with only Mbappe threatening on his left flank.

Exhilarating Feel

Australia were much more direct, making the most of Les Bleus's non-existent midfield.

It was, however, Rabiot who levelled in the 27th, leaving his marker behind to head home from Hernandez's cross.

With Mbappe moving more centrally, the Australia defence had one more problem to deal with and that was clear when the Paris St Germain forward's back heel inside the area was collected by Rabiot, who slid the ball across for Giroud to tap in.

They played more freely from then on, with Antoine Griezmann's low shot going just wide and Mbappe skying his attempt over the bar as he raced to meet Griezmann's cross from the right.

Australia kept France on their toes and came close shortly before halftime when Jackson Irvine's header grazed Hugo Lloris's right-hand post after a rebound.

Mbappe caused more chaos early in the second half but could not quite find the breakthrough, until he silenced the Australian fans, who in the first half were shouting 'Who are you?' at him, with a glancing header in the 68th minute.

Three minutes later, Giroud headed home from Mbappe's cross before falling on his back in apparent disbelief and being surrounded by his team mates in a goal celebration that lasted longer than usual, giving an exhilarating feel to France's win.

It took Giroud, who owed his place in the starting lineup to Benzema's absence, 115 international appearances to score his 51 goals, while Henry needed 123 from 1997-2010.

There were more chances for France through Hernandez and Ibrahima Konate but the result was satisfying enough, bearing in mind that in 2002 the defence of their title started with a 1-0 loss to Senegal and was followed by a first-round exit.
