A new day brings a new Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump conflict. The war of words continues between the two famous American personalities, one is the President of the USA, and the other is one of the most well-known hosts and comedians. On Thursday, Trump wrote a scathing post against Kimmel as he slammed his show, calling him a man with no talent. In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump asked why ABC keeps Jimmy Kimmel Live! on the air, "Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!'' Days after Trump’s post, Kimmel made sure to respond in his own humorous way, mentioning Trump’s low-ratings remark and pointing out Trump’s second-term-low approval ratings.

“He keeps saying we have bad ratings. And you should listen to him – because if anyone knows about bad ratings – it's that guy!" he said. He also pointed out the timing of Trump’s post, which was shared at 12:49 a.m., 11 minutes after Kimmel’s show ended on the East Coast. “He watches us live… Hi, Mr President, how are you? Thanks for watching us on TV instead of YouTube. It's viewers like you who keep us on the air, ironically," Kimmel added. “It's also sweet that even in the middle of the biggest sex scandal in the history of the American presidency, he takes precious time on the toilet to post about our show,” he continued. Referring to Bloomberg report, Jimmy said, “Mr. President, I admire your tenacity. If you’re watching tonight, which I presume you are, how about this: I’ll go when you go, OK? We’ll be a team. Let’s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Suntan Kid. And until then, if I may borrow a phrase from you: ‘Quiet, piggy.’”
The Kimmel-Trump feud
The public feud between Kimmel and Trump is not new, as both continue to criticise each other in public exchanges. Trump was even one of the happiest people on Earth when Jimmy Kimmel Live! was briefly pulled from air over Kimmel’s comment on Charlie Kirk’s death. ‘’Great news for America. The ratings-challenged Jimmy Kimmel show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done,” Trump said.

Russia says it has not yet received any formal communication from Washington regarding a proposed US peace initiative, even as Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky signaled a willingness to examine the Trump administration’s “vision” for ending the conflict. Details of the draft plan, widely leaked in recent days, include several conditions Kyiv has previously rejected. These range from giving up parts of the eastern Donetsk region still under Ukrainian control, to scaling back the size of Ukraine’s military, and committing not to seek NATO membership. The concessions lean heavily toward Moscow’s interests, prompting a measured response from Zelensky’s office on Thursday (Nov 20). The leaks emerged as Russian forces continued their attacks. Overnight strikes killed six people: five in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south and one in the Dnipropetrovsk region to the east. Moscow has also reported marginal territorial gains, while Zelensky faces growing political pressure at home linked to a $100m corruption scandal involving senior officials. The White House has rejected accusations that Kyiv was excluded from shaping the proposal. According to US officials, the document was drafted shortly after discussions between special envoy Steve Witkoff and Rustem Umerov, a top Ukrainian official who allegedly supported most of the plan’s points. However, Umerov wrote on Telegram that he neither endorsed nor assessed the proposal, stressing that Ukraine is still “carefully reviewing” suggestions from its partners. Also Red: Explosion at glue factory in Pakistan kills 18; several nearby homes damaged Zelensky has avoided outright criticism of the initiative, instead expressing appreciation for President Trump’s “efforts to restore European security”, a gesture interpreted by some as an attempt to avoid alienating the US administration despite its perceived concessions to Russia. Moscow maintains it is “fully open” to negotiations but insists any settlement must address what it calls the “root causes” of the war, language Kyiv views as code for sweeping demands amounting to capitulation. Tensions have risen between Washington and Moscow, with Trump imposing new sanctions on Russia’s two largest oil companies on Friday after what officials described as growing frustration over stalled talks. Kyiv and European leaders have consistently called for a “fair and lasting” peace that prevents any further Russian territorial expansion. Yet EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said she had seen no sign Europe was involved in shaping the US proposal, noting that any workable plan must include both Ukraine and its European allies. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul described the document not as a complete proposal but as a “set of ideas and options.” Among its provisions, the draft plan reportedly limits Ukraine’s armed forces to 600,000 personnel, places European fighter jets in Poland rather than Ukraine, and requires Kyiv to give up many of its weapons. It promises “reliable security guarantees,” though without specifics. President Trump wants to send $2,000 checks to working-class Americans next year, a plan the White House says will be funded by tariff revenue. But Republican lawmakers are pushing back, arguing the money should go toward cutting the U.S. deficit instead. Some Republicans are firmly opposed, while others have raised serious concerns. Meanwhile, the White House is exploring ways to move forward even without Congress, a step that could trigger a major showdown over presidential power. And a pending Supreme Court case on Trump’s tariff authority could upend the entire plan.

US economy outlook
Trump had been boasting about the US economy, claiming that it's the 'hottest and the best' at the same time, but he is undermining his own staff and pressing for a rate cut. California Governor Gavin Newsom's office posted, “Translation: the economy isn’t bad enough, let’s speedrun a recession!”Fed officials claim that their decisions are guided by economic figures, with dual goals of stable prices and full employment. However, the feds have delivered two rate cuts in two consecutive months in September and October, bringing the benchmark to its lowest in three years. Inflation remains above the 2 per cent target, and tariffs are expected to push it further higher.

Trump publicly threatened to fire Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and attacked Fed Chair Jerome Powell as the US economy sees back-to-back rate cuts and rising inflation.

US President Donald Trump publicly threatened to fire Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, while Bessent was sitting right in front of him, as the whole room burst into laughter. Trump had been pushing for a rate cut for months now. “Interest rates are down despite the Fed. I mean, Scott, you gotta work on this guy. He’s got some real mental problems. He has something wrong with him,” said Trump. Trump also attacked Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for months over the interest rate policy. “I’ll be honest, I’d love to fire his ass. He should be fired. Guy’s grossly incompetent. And he should be sued for spending $4 billion to build a little building. I’m building a ballroom that’s gonna cost a tiny fraction of that," said Trump, referring to Jerome Powell, at the Kennedy Centre on November 19, while addressing the US-Saudi investment forum.
