Sharing the post, political analyst Joey Mannarino wrote on X, “How is this allowed? This can get me killed.” The post received more than 19.4 million views.

Daksh Gupta found himself in the middle of a heated debate after making a post on X saying he expects his employees to have “no work-life balance”, working 84 hours a week, and sometimes even on weekends.

“Recently I started telling candidates right in the first interview that Greptile offers no work-life balance, typical workdays start at 9 am and end at 11 pm, often later, and we work Saturdays, sometimes also Sundays. I emphasize the environment is high stress, and there is no tolerance for poor work,” he wrote on X, adding that “transparency is good” rather than people finding it out later on their first day.

On Friday, netizens started reporting suspicious posts containing death threats against BTS' Jimin and V on the fan community platform Weverse. Referring to the upcoming Busan concert, an anonymous person made threats to assassinate the popular South Korean singers and shared a picture of a gun. Screenshots of the death threats have been doing rounds on social media.

One of the death threats read, "The October concert is free and is a nice change to get rid of Taehyung (Kim Taehyung aka V) from Jikook lives. (sic)" Another read, "Taehyung only has till the concert in October to live he should learn to stay away from Jungkook and he is such an attention seeker no one loves you Taehyung 80% of this fandom hates you you dont exit for them they don't say anything because they scared of your fans. (sic)"

BTS fans took to Twitter and urged their agency HYBE to take necessary action.&nbsp;

Bollywood's lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who tied the knot in December 2021, have&nbsp;reportedly received death threats on social media platforms and a case has been registered against the culprits. According to a tweet by news agency ANI, it is not known what the threats said but a case has been registered at the Santacruz Police Station against the owner of the social media account.

In May, actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan also received a death threat letter. The letter stated that the father-son duo would meet the same fate as singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in Mansa district.

After the letter was reported to the police, Salman and his family's security was enhanced. Investigators had suggested that the Bishnoi gang had a role in sending the threat letter and they wanted to extort money from Bollywood personalities.

Salman met newly-appointed Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar o Friday at the latter's office in south Mumbai.&nbsp;According to a report by News18, the Bollywood actor had submitted a written application to the Police seeking a weapon license for his own protection after getting death threat letters. And, according to the same publication, his recent visit to the headquarters was in the context of the license.

Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker also received a death threat letter in June.&nbsp;Mumbai Police registered a case and started investigating&nbsp;the matter after the actress reported the incident.

Merryman was arrested by the authorities when he travelled from his home to Maryland. He had called the police in his hometown on last Tuesday to say that he was on his way to Washington, DC, to see the president, the federal authorities said. &nbsp;

According to an FBI agent's affidavit, when a secret service agent called him on last Wednesday, Merryman said God had told him to travel to Washington to "lop off the head of the serpent in the heart of the nation." &nbsp;

"Merryman denied that the serpent was the President of the United States, but stated that he had information about the Book of Revelation that he was being instructed by God to give to the President," the agent wrote. &nbsp;

Court filings did not list attorneys for Merryman or Conlon, who was released after his initial appearance in court last week. US Magistrate Judge A David Copperthite had also ordered Conlon to refrain from using a computer or any other internet-connected devices without a probation officer's permission.

Organisers of an International Women's Day march in Pakistan say they have had death and rape threats on social media over the event, which prompted complaints from some conservative groups.

A Human Rights Watch report last year estimated that 1,000 "honour killings" -- the practice of relatives murdering girls or women because they think the victim has brought shame or dishonour on the family -- take place in Pakistan each year.

Another march organiser, who asked not to be identified, said the backlash "shows that this collective organisation of women has threatened the patriarchal forces".

Pakistan has experienced a surge in social media usage with more than 40 million Facebook users. The rapid growth has sparked an online debate about misogyny, with some women highlighting daily hate and pornographic messaging.

The days following the march have seen social media attacks on women, while some prominent men have complained about "obscene" signs carried by protesters.

A member of the country's largest religious political party filed a complaint with police, seen by Reuters, in the southern city of Karachi where 7,000 women attended the march, saying the protesters "provoked religious sentiments" and spread vulgarity.

The march organisers also said the media had focused on the backlash more than the original aims of the event.

"The media played a massively negative role in this campaign ... they just looked at what trolls were saying online and picked up (on) a few placards that were provocative to try and sell their content," Daad said.

Macedonia's fugitive former premier Nikola Gruevski said Saturday he fled to Hungary despite being sentenced for abuse of power after he received a threat that he would be killed in jail.

"Then I changed my decision," Gruevski said.

He said he got information on his planned assassination from "people who were well informed inside prison".

"I cannot say publicly who is behind this plot because I cannot prove it at the moment. I decided to leave Macedonia afterwards."

Gruevski ruled Macedonia for nearly a decade until 2016, when evidence appearing to show a widespread wire-tapping scheme by his administration led to his downfall.&nbsp;

The former premier has since been the target of a number of prosecutions and last year was found guilty of using a luxury government Mercedes for personal travel.

On November 11, Gruevski pulled off a dramatic escape, passing through Albania, Montenegro, and Serbia before reaching Hungary.

Gruevski said Saturday he chose Hungary since it was a NATO and European Union member as well as a "country with independent institutions".

After Gruevski fled, a special prosecution team appointed to probe alleged crimes committed by his administration, submitted two new charges against him.

He was accused of "illegal financing" of his VMRO-DPMNE party and unlawful construction of its headquarters.

Skopje has demanded Gruevski's immediate return, while the EU is looking to Budapest for answers.

Ex-Macedonian PM says death threat forced him to flee

JNU student leader Umar Khalid has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police that he and Gujarat's Independent MLA Jignesh Mevani had received death threats from a man who identified himself as fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari, a senior official said today.

Khalid tweeted that he has asked for police protection.

"Filed a complaint with @DelhiPolice regarding Ravi Pujari's death threat to Jignesh and me. He said that I am on his HIT LIST! I have asked for police protection, given the fact that this is the same person who had previously also issued similar threats of killing me in Feb 2016 (sic)," he said.

Yesterday, Khalid approached the police with a complaint over the threats and a case was registered, the police official said, adding that they are investigating the matter.

The student leader said that he was informed by Mevani about the threats, and he has not received any call himself till now.

"Mevani has been receiving death threats for the last two-three days. In one of the calls he received, the caller had mentioned my name too. He had mentioned that if we don't stop giving speeches we would be killed.

"Mevani informed me and I approached the police. A case has been registered and they said that they will do a threat assessment and take a call on providing police protection," Khalid told PTI.

Mevani too had alleged yesterday that he has received death threats from Pujari.

When asked whether the calls were being received in relation to the arrests made by the Pune Police on June 6 in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence, he said, "I am not aware about the context. Pujari has not mentioned that he was calling in that context. I don't feel it is a coincidence that the calls (to Mevani) started coming from that day (the arrests were made)."

Elgar Parishad, organised to commemorate 200 years of the Koregaon Bhima battle, was held on December 31 at Shaniwarwada. It was attended by Mevani, Khalid along with Rohit Vemula's mother Radhika Vemula and Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh President Prakash Ambedkar.

In 2016, Khalid's father Syed Qasim Illyas Rasool had filed a police complaint, claiming that he has received a phone call "threatening to kill" his son if he doesn't leave the country.

This incident had happened when the police was looking for Khalid in connection with the sedition case filed against him, former JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar, and Anirban Bhattacharya for allegedly organising an event against the hanging of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

Guru was hanged in 2013.
