<p>A convoy of 78 buses, in which around 2,500 CRPF personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack on February 14.</p>

<p>Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is all geared up to enthral the audience at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 on April 7.</p>

<p>The 'Bajirao Mastani' star, who has always set the stage on fire with his insane energy, will be paid a whopping Rs 5 crore for 15-minute performance in IPL’s eleventh edition.</p>

<p>This means Ranveer will be taking over Rs 33 lakh per minute for his performance at the ceremony.</p>

<p>“He will be shaking a leg for about 15 minutes, but the organising team was always clear that they wanted Ranveer as a performer and that’s why he has been offered such a huge amount,” reports said.</p>

<p>“His appeal cuts across cities, age-groups and has an equally big fan following among men and women. That’s why the organisers felt that he is the perfect fit for the performance at this year’s IPL opening ceremony. The organisers are extremely happy that Ranveer has given his nod for the event, the reports added.</p>

<p>On the professional front, Ranveer will be seen in Zoya Akhtar's musical drama 'Gully Boy'.&nbsp</p>

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is all geared up to enthral the audience at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 on April 7. The 'Bajirao Mastani' star, who has always set the stage on fire with his insane energy, will be paid a whopping Rs 5 crore for 15-minute performance in IPL’s eleventh edition. This means Ranveer will be taking over Rs 33 lakh per minute for his performance at the ceremony. “He will be shaking a leg for about 15 minutes, but the organising team was always clear that they wanted Ranveer as a performer and that’s why he has been offered such a huge amount,” reports said. “His appeal cuts across cities, age-groups and has an equally big fan following among men and women. That’s why the organisers felt that he is the perfect fit for the performance at this year’s IPL opening ceremony. <p>With just over two weeks left for the XIth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start, the opener will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and two-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).&nbsp;</p>

<p>CSK, which is making a comeback after facing suspension for two years-2016, 2017, will once again be playing under his most-popular player and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MSD).</p>

<p>The 11th edition of premier league is just around the corner with the Yellow Brigade already becoming the cynosure of social media and cricket fans with their comprehensive team roster to be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.</p>

<p>As the CSK will take on holders Mumbai Indians to kick-start the 2018 edition on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, here&#39;s an overall analysis of the newly formed team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The former Indian captain&rsquo;s strike rate in the IPL 2017 was a poor 115, considering his strike rate was 163 and 149 in IPL 2013 and 2014 respectively.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per a record, in 2017, Dhoni managed to score only 15 boundaries and 16 sixes in 16 matches.</p>

<p>However, CSK has the most experienced players in this squad with 10 out of 25 of them being above the age of 30.&nbsp;</p>

Indian Premier League's (IPL) widely celebrated franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are coming back into the scheme of things after facing two-year suspension for alleged spot-fixing. The 11th edition of premier league is just around the corner with the Yellow Brigade already becoming the cynosure of social media and cricket fans with their comprehensive team roster to be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. <p>Later, Punjab snapped up two of India&#39;s premier batters KL Rahul and Karun Nair. Both the players are in good form and performed well in the previous season. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Karun Nair, who was bought for Rs 5.60 crore, played for DD last season, whereas Rahul was part of the star-studded RCB contingent.&nbsp;</p>

IPL 2018 Auction: KXIP snaps up Ashwin, KL Rahul for 7.60 crores, 11 crores respectively

<p>Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Banglore have retained Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers&nbsp;and Sarfaraz Khan.</p>

<p>David Warner and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar were retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Whereas, Mumbai Indians kept hold of skipper Rohit Sharma, allrounder Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah.</p>

<p>Kolkata Nightriders kept two West Indies players, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell.</p>
