<p>According to her grandfather Harban Lal, the family ordered the cake around 6:00 pm and Manvi cut the cake around 7:00 pm on March 24. By 10:00 pm on the same night, Manvi's entire family fell sick, and the sisters started vomiting soon after. He added that Manvi was very thirsty and complained of having a dry mouth,&nbsp;she asked for water multiple times and went to sleep.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her condition deteriorated even more the next morning on March 25 and the family took her to a hospital where she was put on oxygen and an ECG was performed. But unfortunately, doctors could not save her and she was declared dead on the same day, her grandfather added.</p>

<p>Manvi’s family has claimed that the chocolate cake they ordered from a nearby bakery called 'Cake Kanha' in Patiala may have been poisonous.</p>

<p>An FIR has been filed against the owner of 'Cake Kanha' and an investigation is underway. "The postmortem of the body has been done. A sample from the cake has also been sent for testing. We are awaiting the reports," police said.<br />

Japan: Luxury chain Takashimaya apologises for 807 collapsed Christmas cakes

<p>The head of the Food Standards Agency of UK, Professor Susan Jebb, has suggested that people should not bring cake into the office for the sake of their colleagues’ health. She has also expressed her concern that the advertising of junk food is “undermining people’s free will”. Professor Jebb believes while it is a choice to eat sweet treats, people can help each other by providing a “supportive environment.” She gives the example of how if nobody brought cakes into the office, she would not eat cakes during the day, but because people do bring cakes in, she eats them.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Professor Jebb believes that this is similar to the situation with passive smoking, where one will have to inhale smoke if somebody is smoking next to them. She believes that people still don't feel the same way about food. She says people will be tempted into eating cakes if a person sitting next to them will continue bringing them into the office.</p>

<p>She also insists that restrictions on advertising junk food are “not about the nanny state” but would instead tackle what she described as a “complete market failure” where sweet goods take precedence over vegetables. She states that businesses with the most money have the biggest influence on people's behaviour, which is not fair.</p>

The head of the Food Standards Agency of UK, Professor Susan Jebb, has suggested that people should not bring cake into the office for the sake of their colleagues’ health. She has also expressed her concern that the advertising of junk food is “undermining people’s free will”. Professor Jebb believes while it is a choice to eat sweet treats, people can help each other by providing a “supportive environment.” She gives the example of how if nobody brought cakes into the office, she would not eat cakes during the day, but because people do bring cakes in, she eats them. Professor Jebb believes that this is similar to the situation with passive smoking, where one will have to inhale smoke if somebody is smoking next to them. She believes that people still don't feel the same way about food. She says people will be tempted into eating cakes if a person sitting next to them will continue bringing them into the office. She also insists that restrictions on advertising junk food are “not about the nanny state” but would instead tackle what she described as a “complete market failure” where sweet goods take precedence over vegetables. US woman prints her resume on cake and gets it delivered to Nike for a job

<p>A 14-year-old girl with a movement disorder, general dystonia, died in southern Puducherry state after allegedly consuming rat poison mistaking it for a chocolate cake.</p>

<p>The incident took place on Sunday afternoon after the girl, R Saloth Nithikshina, complained of nausea and vomiting. When her mother, Mary, enquired, Nithikshina said that she ate the “cake” kept at the window.</p>

<p>A ‘shocked’ Mary told her daughter that the cake she ate was, in fact, rat poison, following which the girl was immediately rushed to a state-run hospital in Kottuchery.</p>

<p>After administering first aid, the girl was later taken to a bigger hospital in Karaikal where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit. But despite their best efforts, the doctors couldn’t save her.</p>

<p>The police have registered a case under section 174 (police to enquire and report on suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code and began thier investigation, according to the Times of India newspaper.</p>

<p>The girl was staying at home after she discontinued her studies two years ago due to being diagnosed with general dystonia, police said.</p>

<p>A similar incident had taken place in western Mumbai city last month, where a 24-year-old woman died after mistakenly eating rat poison instead of medicine for stomach ache.</p>

<p>Cafe Zaertailo said they came up with the fabulous pastry as they were “inspired by the English apple pie and the charming haircut of Boris Johnson.”</p>

<p>“Boris Johnson is not just a prime minister but is also now a croissant,” announced Cafe Zaertailo on Instagram Monday, June 6.</p>

<p>The café added that this dish “dedicated to our British friends in tribute for their support in the war against Russia.”</p>

<h2><strong>Longest Assisted Journey Across Antarctica On Skis (Female)&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>St&eacute;phanie Gicquel along with her husband set a new record for the &#39;<i>Longest assisted journey across Antarctica on skis (female)&#39;</i>&nbsp;by travelling&nbsp;2,045 km (1270.7 miles). She skied from Messner Start to Hercules Inlet between 14 November 2014 and 27 January 2015. The couple received resupplies during their travels but they completed the entire distance by themselves, without any&nbsp;assistance from wind kites, motors or dogs.</p>

<p>415 people participated to create the&nbsp;<i>&lsquo;Largest parade of kite surfers&rsquo;</i>&nbsp;at Dolphin Beach in Cape Town, South Africa. Following a signal, the kite surfers set off one at a time from each zone and began travelling down the 2.41 km (1.5 mile) course.&nbsp;It took around three hours for all the successful surfers to cross the finish line.&nbsp;</p>

Gliding from 7,000 feet above the ground, they managed to interlock hands and form a snowflake-shaped pattern in mid-air in order to bag the title. Longest Human Chain Underwater Diver training agency Raid Italia recently set the record for the 'Longest human chain underwater,' putting together an incredible 173-person line in the sea on Elba Islands in Bologna, Italy. Most Lit Candles On A Birthday Cake Ashrita Furman and members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre, while celebrating their meditation teacher Sri Chinmoy’s 85th birthday, created a record for 'Most candles on a birthday cake'. Most People Twerking Simultaneously On 15 November 2014, Big Freedia and Central City Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, bagged the record for the most people twerking simultaneously. A total of 406 twerkers flocked to New York's Herald Square to help the New Orleans musician and Queen of Bounce set the record for the 'Most people twerking'. Longest Swim Under Ice- Breath Held (Female) Johanna successfully achieved the record for the Longest swim under ice - breath held' (no fins, no diving suit) for a woman, covering an impressive 50 metres. The attempt took place during an ice-diving event. A hole was cut in the 30-cm-thick ice and Johanna dived into the freezing water and successfully swam the pre-measured track.
