<p>The video became viral and was possibly the most-talked-about content on July 8 as a website, Soompi.com posted the same. The vaping bit was part of a vlog that was posted on Jennie enjoying her time in Capri, Italy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As soon as the video went viral, netizens started taking sides and slamming the pop star for being inconsiderate towards her staff and subjecting them to vape smoke.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The vaping bit has now been removed from the vlog.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Jennie's agency apologised on her behalf</strong></h2>

<p>Later Soompi.com reported that Jennie’s agency, OA Entertainment, issued the following statement: “We sincerely apologise to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s actions in the content released on July 2. Jennie acknowledges and deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff. Jennie has personally apologised to all the staff on-site who may have been affected.”</p>

<p>It added, “We apologise to her fans who have been disappointed through this incident. We hope to prevent this from reoccurring in the future. Thank you.”</p>

<p>As for the smoking laws of Italy, it’s illegal to smoke indoors. It is also illegal in her country of origin, South Korea.&nbsp;</p>
