<p>Trudeau recently made headlines as he paused for more than 20 seconds when asked about Trump's reaction to protests across the US -- before he said that Canadians were watching the United States with "horror and consternation."</p>

<p>Trudeau did not speak at the rally Friday and left as the protestors began a march to the US Embassy, near the Parliament building.</p>

<p>High-end stores looted in New York City, that's been the story over the last few nights.</p>

<p>At a&nbsp;Chanel store in the city, mangled mannequins were found on the floor. Every rack, every cloth in the store was stolen and the looting was complete before the police arrived.</p>

<p>Protesters in Oakland entered a Mercedes Benz store where people could&nbsp;be seen jumping on the cars,&nbsp;trying to smash the windshield. Although the high-end locking system prevented theft, major luxury retail thoroughfares in the US, from New York’s Soho&nbsp;to Beverly Hills’ rodeo drive&nbsp;to Atlanta’s Phipps Plaza - they are now covered in messages in support of "Black Lives Matter".</p>

<p>The names and conditions of the officers were not released, but media said the injuries were not life-threatening. Both were injured near Church and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn when a suspect walked up to an officer and attacked.</p>

<p>They were taken to a nearby hospital.&nbsp;The New York Post said the suspect was also shot.</p>

<p>The incident comes amid the mass protests in New York over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, while in custody of white police officers.</p>

<p>The shooting happened, nearly four hours after an 8 pm curfew went into effect intended to quell unrest over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.</p>

<p>According to screenshots that were taken of the now-deleted tweet, Degeneres wrote, "Like so many of you, I am angry and I am sad. People of color in this country have faced injustice for far too long. For things to change, things must change. We must commit ourselves to this change with conviction and love."</p>

<p>While the message clearly talked about unity, a lot of people took notice of how Degeneres played safe and generalised the movement by mentioned 'People of Colour'. The movement at present talks about the discrimination that Blacks face in America on a daily basis and many felt her generalising the movement did not help.<br />
