The Abortion Dream Team, an organisation co-founded by&nbsp;Wydrzynska, claimed that it assisted&nbsp;44,000 abortions in 2022.&nbsp;

Wydrzynska's defence attorney, Jerzy Podgorski, claimed that if the defendant had not been an activist, the judgment may not have been this harsh.&nbsp;

"If that was a private person, anonymous, and not publicly known, the sentence could have been different," Podgorski said, adding that he had argued in court that Wydrzynska's conduct had caused negligible social harm.

This will "send a universal message of solidarity to all the women who today see this freedom crushed", the president said.

In November 2022, France's National Assembly voted in support of the constitutional change.

The unidentified 16-year-old girl had approached the court seeking abortion on the grounds that she was still in school and "not ready to have a baby", reports AFP. &nbsp;

In the state of Florida, a minor seeking an abortion must obtain consent from at least one parent. However, as per court documents, the girl is "parentless" and lives with a relative and court-appointed guardian.

According to a news release released on Monday, individuals can now claim "any unborn child with a detectable human heartbeat" as a dependent on their state income taxes for the upcoming tax year. People can claim up to $3,000 for a heartbeat as early as 6 weeks into the pregnancy, which is also the time period at which the state's controversial "heartbeat bill" bans abortion.&nbsp;

In July, the "heartbeat" law went into effect over night. The law, which was previously blocked from going into effect, outlaws the majority of abortions once a "detectable human heartbeat" is present.&nbsp;

Cardiac activity can be detected by ultrasound in cells within an embryo that will eventually become the heart as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, long before many pregnancies are detected.

As per the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) "It is clinically inaccurate to use the word “heartbeat” to describe the sound that can be heard on ultrasound in very early pregnancy. In fact, there are no chambers of the heart developed at the early stage in pregnancy that this word is used to describe, so there is no recognizable “heartbeat.” What pregnant people may hear is the ultrasound machine translating electronic impulses that signify fetal cardiac activity into the sound that we recognize as a heartbeat."

The press release by &nbsp;Georgia Department of Revenue said "In light of the June 24, 2022, U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and the July 20, 2022, 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in Sistersong v. Kemp, the Department will recognize any unborn child with a detectable human heartbeat, as defined in O.C.G.A. § 1-2-1, as eligible for the Georgia individual income tax dependent exemption."

"As such, on individual income tax returns filed for Tax Year 2022 where, at any time on or after July 20, 2022, and &nbsp;through December 31, 2022, a taxpayer has an unborn child (or children) with a detectable human heartbeat (which may occur as early as six weeks’ gestation), the taxpayer may claim a dependent personal exemption as provided for under O.C.G.A § 48-7-26(a) and (b)(3) in the amount of $3,000.00 for each unborn child."

At present, abortion is legal in Kansas with certain limits, and it is also the place of choice for people from Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri (states where the process is banned).

In 2019, the Kansas Supreme Court decided to strike down a state law that banned a common “second term abortion procedure”. In its judgement, the court said that the right to bodily autonomy for US citizens also extended to their decision to terminate a pregnancy.

People of the US state of Kansas wanted to protect their abortion rights. A statewide ballot was held to remove protection to abortion from the Kansas state constitution, voters rejected the proposed changes and all this comes as a boost to abortion rights activists.

It’s been more than a month since the Supreme Court of the United States or SCOTUS overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v.&nbsp;Wade ruling, which enshrined American women's right to safe and legal abortion. Since then, many states have come out with their own laws banning or severely limiting abortions. These untested bans have left doctors unsure about treating cases that may be mistaken for "abortions", which include complicated pregnancies. This is exactly what happened to a Texas woman, according to a report by NPR, who had to carry her own putrid discharge into the hospital to demonstrate that an infection was killing her and that she was ultimately in enough danger to end her life-threatening pregnancy.

Weller was 18 weeks along in a pregnancy, she really wanted when her water broke prematurely. She didn't have enough amniotic fluid to help sustain the foetus' life. She was informed that the foetus would probably die or struggle in agonising ways for its survival.&nbsp;

However, the foetus’s heart was still beating. The medical staff at the hospital in the Houston region felt that Weller wasn't in enough danger to risk breaking Texas' six-week abortion ban despite symptoms of chorioamnionitis, which can result in a lethal infection.&nbsp;

Now seventeen Attorney Generals want to manipulate how internet search answers these women's queries regarding Abortion centres. In the letter,&nbsp; top&nbsp;Republicans have called out Google's "monopoly power in the markets for search services" and have pushed for the inclusion of crisis pregnancy clinics that actually oppose abortion in search results for "abortion."

As per Jezebel, "crisis pregnancy centres are faith-based organizations that prey on people struggling with unwanted pregnancies. They advertise heavily on Google and social media and aggressively try to dissuade people from having abortions by pushing dangerous disinformation."

Texas AG Ken Paxton was one of 17 Republican state attorneys general who addressed the firm in a letter dated July 21. The letter was made public on Tuesday (July 26).

"We trust that you will treat this letter with the seriousness these issues require, and hope you will decide that Google’s search results must not be subject to left-wing political pressure, which would actively harm women seeking essential assistance," said the letter.

It further goes on to threaten Google "We wish to make this very clear to Google and the other market participants that it dwarfs: If you fail to resist this political pressure, we will act swiftly to protect American consumers from this dangerous axis of corporate and government power."&nbsp;

In June some democrat leaders had written to the media giant urging it to stop showing anti-abortion centres in searches for "abortion".&nbsp;This letter was sent after a study by the Center for Countering Digital Hate revealed that in "abortion-hostile" states, 40 per cent of Google Maps Search results for “abortion” led people to crisis pregnancy centres.&nbsp;

An undercover investigation by the publication Jezebel had previously described the ongoings at these crisis pregnancy centres: "I was told abortions increase the risk of miscarriage. I was told an abortion could rip a hole in my cervix, causing my intestines to be pulled through it. Again and again, I was told an abortion could be fatal. Only the risks were described."

Matt Gaetz who himself is under federal investigation over charges of statutory rape of a 17-year-old girl and sex trafficking made the revolting statement while talking to a bunch of teenagers at a right-wing student conference in Tampa, Florida.&nbsp;Referring to the pro-choice rallies as "pro-murder" the Republican said: "Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions? Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb."
