The isolated country, which has enforced a strict watch since the coronavirus outbreak, confirmed an omicron outbreak in Pyongyang in May. The virus also sickened North Korean leader Kim Jong Un earlier this year. However, the official KCNA said that the four fever instances had been discovered in the bordering Chinese province of Ryanggang, AFP reported. Additionally, the state media stated that the government is also taking measures to investigate the origin of these fevers. The country is currently referring to the four instances as "fever patients" and not "Covid patients," which implies that reports are lacking proper testing as of now. According to state media, 74 people died out of nearly 4.8 million "fever cases," at an official fatality rate of 0.002 per cent. Experts are trying to figure out the origin of these fever cases. Murillo was detained on Friday for high-level official arrest, accused of torture, forcible disappearance, and obstructing justice. Murillo’s arrest comes after Mexico’s top human rights investigator marked the disappearance a ‘state crime’ making this case one of the biggest violations of human rights in the country.

As per experts, this investigation came to the conclusion that the students had been inadvertently abused, tortured, and killed by a local drug gang. The chief later defended himself during his hearing, the local Mexican hearing said.

The former attorney will stay behind bars until his trial, the judge declared on Wednesday (August 24).

Eight ancient vessels that were damaged in the 2020 Beirut explosion will be displayed at the British Museum, taking visitors through the laborious restoration process.

The Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic-era vessels were restored and will be displayed as a part of its "Shattered Glass of Beirut" exhibition before being sent back to Lebanon later this year. The 74 items in the case at the American University of Beirut included the vessels.

The incident happened when the building was struck by the shockwave of the port bomb that took place on August 4, 2020, three kilometres away, and broke the glass items inside.

She further continued, "We all individually felt that, I think, we contributed to something by working on these objects by sharing this pain, these emotions." She continued, "So it's not only about the conservation... but also the working together and achieving something together," AFP reported.

Pangang Group Vanadium &amp; Titanium Resources Co Ltd told the stock exchange in a filing on Wednesday its&nbsp;Chongqing&nbsp;subsidiary had received the notice and would continue to suspend production.

"We don't know what to do until we see what the government tells us for next week," a spokesperson said.

The plant makes small-engine products like lawnmowers and tillers and doesn't manufacture automobiles. Honda made 23 per cent&nbsp;of all of its&nbsp;power&nbsp;equipment in&nbsp;Chongqing&nbsp;last financial year.

The factory was on summer vacation until this past Sunday and suspended operations from Monday.

Chongqing&nbsp;and other parts of the Yangtze basin have been broiling under weeks of temperatures in excess of 40 Celsius (104 Fahrenheit), causing crop damage and forest fires.

"If these exports are suspended, already-tight&nbsp;power&nbsp;supply in eastern China, which is enduring its own heat wave, will be further affected," he said in a research note.

China's&nbsp;State Grid Corporation is now delivering 130 million kilowatt-hours of&nbsp;power&nbsp;per day to Sichuan, state broadcaster CCTV said on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the number of deaths reported this year between January and August stands at 65,000, twice as many deaths as reported last year during the same time period.

The older groups are especially affected by other individuals passing away, this summer than the previous. Most of the deaths reported this summer were of people over the age of 85 years old, compared to 27 per cent of fatalities in 2021.

In England, Covid was sixth amongst the most common causes of mortality in July.
