Clogged arteries, also known as atherosclerosis, can lead to serious cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. Several habits can contribute to the buildup of plaque in the arteries, increasing the risk of these conditions.

Chronic dehydration can thicken the blood, making it harder for the heart to pump and increasing the risk of plaque formation in the arteries.

Inadequate sleep or poor-quality sleep can lead to increased blood pressure, obesity, and higher levels of stress hormones, all of which contribute to the development of atherosclerosis.

High amounts of caffeine can lead to temporary spikes in blood pressure and may contribute to stress and anxiety, indirectly affecting heart health.

Consistently overeating, especially on unhealthy snacks, can lead to obesity, insulin resistance, and increased cholesterol levels, all of which are risk factors for atherosclerosis.

Sedentary behaviour contributes to obesity, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol levels. Regular exercise helps maintain a healthy weight, reduces blood pressure, and improves cholesterol levels.

Diets low in fiber can lead to higher cholesterol levels. Fiber helps reduce cholesterol absorption in the bloodstream, thus lowering the risk of plaque formation.

6 Habits That Cause Clogged Arteries

5 Fascinatingly Bizarre Japanese Customs You Won't Believe Exist!

In Japan, it's common and even respected for employees to nap at their desks. This practice, known as inemuri, is seen as a sign of dedication, suggesting that the person has been working hard and is tired.

Japanese train etiquette demands silence. Talking on the phone is considered rude, and even conversations among friends or family are kept very low. The aim is to create a peaceful and quiet environment for all passengers.

Unlike in many other cultures, slurping noodles loudly is perfectly acceptable in Japan. In fact, it is seen as a compliment to the chef, indicating that you are enjoying your meal.

ubitsume, or finger-cutting, is a ritual traditionally associated with the Yakuza (Japanese mafia). As a form of penance or apology, members would sever a portion of their little finger.

In Japan, it is common for families to adopt adults, especially men, to ensure the continuity of the family name and business. This custom, known as mukoyoshi, often involves adopting a son-in-law who will take on the family surname and responsibilities.

Replace refined white flour with whole wheat flour for the dough to increase fiber content and nutrients.

Opt for lean meats like chicken or turkey, or plant-based proteins like tofu, lentils, or chickpeas for the filling.

Enhance the nutritional value by including a variety of finely chopped vegetables such as carrots, spinach, bell peppers, and mushrooms in the filling.

Cook your momos by steaming them rather than frying to reduce calorie and fat intake.

Cut down on salt and use herbs and spices like ginger, garlic, cilantro, and cumin to add flavor without extra sodium.

They were attempting the summit approach from the South Col. Tsedendamba's body was found below the South Summit at an altitude of about 8,600 metres (28,215 feet) on Friday morning. "It seems he was returning from the summit. Search is continuing for the other climber," said Lakpa Sherpa of 8k Expedition Company, which organised the duo's climbing permits. Sherpa said the two men were climbing without guides and that their walkie-talkie had been found in their tent. Bad weather with high winds played spoilsport during search operations for the missing climbers below the summit. The location is famously known as the death zone because of dangerously low oxygen levels.
